We just stopped in for a quick coffee and it was amazing. The atmosphere is very comforting and the staff were very nice. There is lots of seating and plenty of friendly people to converse with.

I was visiting from out of town and wanted to try a local coffee shop. I was really impressed with this place! The barista knew my drink right away (usually get strange looks for steamed cold press) and they have a decent selection of GF pastries. I would come back again, for sure.

We stop in whenever we are driving through Grand Rapids (usually 2-4 times a year). Coffee and food is always great. Merchandise and art work is always good.

It's difficult for me to review Brewed Awakenings. On one hand, you have great service and a menu that caters to people with all kinds of dietary needs which is something that you simply don't see very often. It's refreshing to have a place that makes the effort to do something like that. They also have a wonderful selection and I always enjoy the pseudo 50's diner look they've got going on.

However, I must say that as a "self proclaimed" coffee aficionado their beverages leave A LOT to be desired. I have tried 4 or 5 different beverages (mocha, espresso and even straight black coffee) and all of them are terribly bland/flavorless and weak. Even their plain coffee is barely above muddy water and certainly tastes no better. I just purchased a bag of the coffee they brew in house and I am going to test it out at home. Perhaps it is the type of coffee or the roaster they use (based out of Duluth) that makes it so terrible. If that's the case they should really consider switching roasters even if they have to sacrifice the "locally grown and roasted" side of things.

Their food (I'm talking meals, not baked goods), although quite tasty is hardly generous in proportion to the cost. You can easily spend $7 to get a sandwich that that hardly whets your appetite. Out of the 4 times I have purchased food here I have yet to feel satisfied once finished and tend to eat again when I get home.

I can't justify going back to Brewed Awakenings when the primary staple of their business leaves such a bad taste in my mouth, pun intended.

Chill vibe, healthy options, great coffee, I whole heatedly recommend. The little touches like good fresh fruit and beautiful plants in the windows really make it excellent

Grand Rapids coffee house. Great vegetarian soups rotating daily, a variety of sandwiches on Great Harvest bread, panini, baked goods etc. They also have gelato. The space is a great place to hang out with local art work on the walls rotating monthly and occasional performances by touring musicians.

We ordered a drip coffee, a chai tea, a green salad, and a veggie sandwich all to go and it was $24. Both the coffee and the tea were watered down. They forgot to include dressing with the salad, and the sandwich was lack luster for the high price. We were excited when we walked in and left disappointed. They seemed too busy to notice.

If you find yourself in Grand Rapids, seek out Brewed Awakenings. Not only is there a great coffeeshop with a variety of great pastries. The merch is cool and there is a B&B to rent on the second floor!

Amazing coffee! Super friendly stuff and the egg sandwiches.... the bomb! And don't forget the Turtle brownie cupcakes! Nom nom 😋😍

Not sure did not order anything, but seemed like a good place for healthy eating and not a place for breakfast but they do serve breakfast items but not my kind of eating.
