An friendly place to eat with delicious, healthy food.

According to their slogan, Brewed Awakenings is "A cafe where you can eat every day and be healthy". I strongly believe this to be true, as I actually did so for over a month while working in Grand Rapids. Living out of a hotel room for extended periods of time, as I am often required to do for work, makes it very difficult for me to eat as healthy as I would otherwise do at home. Brewed Awakenings made it easy! All the items on the menu that I had the pleasure of trying were delicious, low sodium and made with whole ingredients! Of note is their extensive vegetarian menu, which is unique to Grand Rapids. Around Thanksgiving, their daily specials menu featured a smoked turkey panini with cranberry sauce, cream cheese and leafy greens... It might have possibly been the best sandwich I have ever eaten! Their assortment of muffins and other baked goods are not to be missed!

Honestly, I come here more for the cookies than the coffee. They do offer a frequent buyer "perks" type program, which is a great incentive. But the Thunder cookies are amazing. And the shortbread, which I just recently tried, is also great. They also have gelato, which you can't get anywhere else in town. Sometimes there's live music and they feature art from local artists. It's just an all-around unique, special place to have in town!

Their coffee smells amazing.I love their almond caramel bars or quiche. Their soups always smell great, from barley beef to homemade chicken noodle.

I travel through Grand Rapids frequently, and usually stop in for a break. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the muffins quite good. I would say though that the coffee is not to my liking. I am used to rich, fresh brewed roasts. The last month or so, the brew at this house has tasted thin and burnt, and not like a dark roast. More like on a burner too long, or air pots needing bleaching out.

Good food. Great coffee. Friendly staff. Fun artistic atmosphere. A perfect quick bite on the way up North. Oh and there's what looks to be handmade ice cream.

It has an amazing almond caramel bars, cookies, quiche, fresh fresh coffee, soups. Cantina style seating. The best place to relax, even with COV 19. There's the newspapers to read too.

We visited Brewed Awakenings today while on vacation. I ordered the iced white chocolate and caramel latte. It was fantastic! The atmosphere is fun and artsy and the staff is friendly!

Perfect espresso and the best muffins ever!! The building is cool too. I just had a strawberry rhubarb muffin and an iced Americano and I had to write this review immediately.

Absolutely fabulous hometown coffee shop with cycling local art to look at as you enjoy a cup of coffee, cone of gelato, pastry, cookie or a small breakfast dish. Brewed has an excellent interior atmosphere as well as exterior with a mosaic for anyone passing by or stopping in. If you do get a chance to go here, make sure to make a visit to the bathrooms to see the mosaic walls (strange recommendation I know, but do it anyway).
