After waiting 25 minutes, we went up and asked if our drinks were almost ready. The person working the drive thru gave a rude response by blaming the one other worker. Very unprofessional. I love Caribou but I'll just have to avoid going to this location.

I love, Love, LOVE Caribou Coffee everywhere but here. I walked into Caribou Coffee in DL, MN this morning around 11:45 am. (The drive thru was packed.) I opened the door, I didnt even step inside the restaurant & turned around to leave; wall-to-wall people. I couldnt tell where the "Order Here" Line ended & the "Pick Up Here' Line began. I figured some sort of restaurant delays or maybe it was just too close to lunch time. I left for 1.5 hours & came back, similar issue. I chose to wait in the drive thru. Once it was my turn to order, I ordered an Iced Americano (large) with 1 pump of carmel & a splash of Almond milk. I asked about the Maple Waffle sandwich's cheese: "Is the sandwich pre-made or can you hold the cheese?" The barista (#1) said she doesnt notice the cheese & I'll be fine. I told her, "No, I'm lactose intolerant, I'll definitely notice." I didn't order the sandwich. I ordered a plain Everything Begal, toasted. She asked if I wanted cream cheese. I was a little irritated as I already stated I'm lactose intolerant, but said "No Thanks". I finished my order & there was about 3 vehicles infront of me. I drive up to the window 15 minutes later. The barista(#1) accepted my payment & gave me a straw. She asked me to hangout while I waited for my drink to be made. As I'm waiting, I see another barista(#2) make a large iced coffee beverage & pours milk (gal. jug w/blue cap) into the beverage not carmel. Puts a lid on the beverage & set it near the drive thru window. Continues to make another large iced coffee beverage & puts cream in that one. The original barista(#1) comes back & give me the beverage with the milk in it. I give it back to her & tell her I watched the other barista(#2) pour milk in it. She took the beverage from me & asked the barista(#2) making the coffee if she put milk in it. The maker shook her head & said no. Barista #1, stated that I saw Barista #2 making someone else's coffee but I didn't get that one. She gave me back the coffee. She expected me to pull away. I "hung out" for a bit longer & asked if my begal was coming? She seemed annoyed & walked away. I took a sip of the Americano that was made in front of me with milk & it tasted like milk... weird. She came back & gave me the begal. I drove away. I didnt even get out of DL before I had to pull into a public restroom. Like I said, I noticed.
So many negative experiences in this 25 minutes to wait for a Large Americano w/ Almond Milk & Carmel. Excluding waiting 25 minutes for a coffee beverage & a begal that should never take this long. The rudeness alone is enough to give my business to another establishment. I work the public on the daily & dont believe in the phrase "the customer is always correct" but when I visibly see an error & tell you of the mistake do not tell me that I'm wrong. I'm not from DL. But my drive home took increasingly longer due to the error of milk being poured into my coffee. Thanks Caribou Coffee of Detroit Lakes.

Great staff! They are always nice and sweet. Unfortunately they have gotten my coffee wrong more than 5 times and have not reimbursed or given me the correct drink. I've thrown my drink a few times because it wasn't good. Hate to be that person, but they should correct their mistakes.

Very disappointed in this visit to Caribou. Went through the drive through and ordered a Blended Turtle Mocah and a Cold Pomegranate Latte. Upon reaching the window, we waiting about 45 seconds before our payment was taken (no problem) but the gal who opened the window didnt say a word to us :( only took the card & then reopened the window to return the card to us, again with no words. We were then given our beverages and the Pomegranate Latte was hot and tasted not much different from straight warm milk & the Turtle Mocha was not blended. Not sure if we will give another try or not.

PSA don't bother ordering curbside pickup unless you want to wait forever! Ended up waiting outside for 20 minutes after pickup time, called and was told to go through the drive though... Finally received order 30 minutes later... Would have left but already paid through the app...

My favorite place to go! Recommend downloading app so you can order online and pick up in store. Drive thru is always bumping! This shaves a few minutes off wait time.

Came in for a quick lunch during the Ojibwe Forests Rally. Place is clean. Food came quickly and was yummy. However, the 2 coffees we ordered were forgotten, and even after asking what happened to them they were not made in time for us to catch our bus to the next rally stage. Left without a refund because I would’ve missed my bus.

I usually love this caribou but I called in to ask a few questions and this lady named Amanda was very very rude. She was giving attitude and made me feel like I was stupid. She told me that I should be in line at the store if I needed something not on the phone.
