One of our favorite places to stop on our way to and from the twin cities. They always have really good fresh food, good portions, and good menu options for everyone.
We have eaten here multiple times. The last 2 times we ate there it has taken a really long time to order / get our food. Both times were during slower restaurant times with not very many other people in the restaurant, and the wait was 30-40 minutes from the time we ordered to getting our food. We had to eat really fast to get back on the road to catch our flight. The previous times we had stopped they have been prompt.
Everything else is easily 5 stars though.

Still family owned! In fact I have been stopping here so long Joel the owner now as a kid and use to fuel my truck back when his dad and grammar came up to help. Still great food and Friendly people. Best bakery by miles over other truck stops. Very gratefully for this family owned truck stop. An George cooks up the best omelet at the fuel islands from 6 to 11 Monday through Friday !!!!!!!!

It was nice to find that they have a small patio area so we could have lunch with our dog. It looks like it is also used for smokers but luckily there was only one guy there at the time.
It is too bad they only have Tesla chargers instead of also having the more standard electric car charging. If I could charge my bolt here it would be a good reason to stop here more often.

2 weeks ago my wife and I stopped in to have dinner. Now mind you, this was not our first time stopping at this truckstop. I was having a problem reading the menu and I politely told the waitress this. Unfortunately, my eyes are not what they used to be and yes, I do have glasses but still the print on the menu seemed rather small and unreadable. The waitress merely made a joke out of it. I guess some people think getting old is funny. That day seemed to be the day to joke about older people. We were sitting in the first booth behind the host's station and one of the other servers made a crude statement about an elderly lady who was there as well. I vowed never to do business with the restaurant again. Well, after today, it looks like I can add the shop to that vow as well. We were waiting in line to get our trailer washed out. There was an issue with the truck that had previously exited the wash bay. Apparently his brakes had frozen up and couldn't move. One of the wash bay crew members asked me if I could back up so they could get the truck that was currently inside the bay out. My brakes had begun to freeze and the wash crew told the manager that I was having an issue to. The manager came unglued and started yelling at the wash crew...you couldn't help but hear him and his remarks..."f××× the truck wash, f××× the trucks, and f××× the drivers!" Well I have news for you, it's the drivers that pay your salary and you are NO manager to talk to your crew that way. As for the restaurant servers, getting old is not funny. Its humiliating. I have seen more things than you young pups can imagine. It's one thing to treat people in a discourteous manner when they are treating you the same. But it is totally unacceptable when it's not deserved.

OMG! Great food in the restaurant. Great service, too. Baked goods off the charts. Enjoyed my stop here immensely! As a truck driver, it's the little things that make you smile. hopefully I'll get back this way again, but not too soon or else I will gain too much weight!

Yeah sure, nice place, they have a ton of products, BUT, RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED THROUGHOUT! Especially for a truck stop. $2.30 for one small cookie not including tax, for example. No thanks! Was this the place they coined the term "highway robbery"?
Additionally, I was looking for vegetarian breakfast options to go, but just as it is in ALL of rural MN, catering to vegetarians is an afterthought, or not considered at all. Does everything have to have sausage in it? There is no way I would order the vegetable pizza here, because I'm sure it's just a token menu item to appease the minority group I am in. It's 2021, time to get with the times.

The travel plaza wass absolutely my favorite restaurant.
You can tell it's under new ownership. The food quality is horrid at best. Bring back the quality that people know this place for. Our service was good and food was horrid. My omlette was no where near what it was under previous ownership. This was my families go to and since the buyout the quality has been on a land slide. Would have preferred kwik trip for a meal

Awesome stop! Great staff everywhere from the kitchen to the fuel island, very friendly! The food is tò die for! Be careful I think you pack on the pounds just by walking past the best bakery ever, lol! The donuts are the size of spare car tires! Would highly recommend stopping! Enjoy!!
