Clearwater Travel Plaza

I absolutely love this place. Nelson Bros restaurant is one of the best restaurants, at a truckstop, in the country. You can get a sugar high just by staring at the multitude of varieties of pastries in their two large pastry cases. Their Donuts are sharable sized, if you're willing to share😂. The food is really good, I had spaghetti the first night, not as good as MY spaghetti and I would prefer parmesan cheese over cheddar and mozzarella on my spaghetti. The meat sauce was good, but the big chunks of tomatoes kind of overwhelmed the meat, and I'm not a big fan of linguini noodles in spaghetti. I had a grilled tuna sandwich for dinner the second day and if was fantastic. Next time I'll be trying another menu item, don't know what it will be yet but I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

We ate at Nelson Bros restaurant for the first time ever. Worst service ever! They weren’t busy. Waited for 15 minutes before a server acknowledged us and the serving staff didn’t know who was supposed to serve our table. Drinks were always empty. We ordered pizza, 1/2 cheese and 1/2 specialty pizza. Specifically asked for no olives. They couldn’t get it right. Said something to the staff and the manager came out and said he was comping our meal and would make something else. My husband enjoyed the pizza but manager wanted to take the pizza and throw it out. He was super rude. We will never be returning. My kids cheese part of the pizza was ok but nothing to ride home about. We won’t be returning.

We got the fritters for breakfast soo amazing everything was perfect food and the service.... but tried the gravy for the hot beef other restaurants need to take not on the gravy they make here that was Fantastic too excited to come back and try a hot beef sandwich!!!!!
The milk u get is plenty not a tiny glass there wild berry syrup was homemade and devious and I used the maple 🍁 that tastes homemade it was..
DESTINY was such an amazing server her upbeat personality and made the experience worth the travel !!!!

I don't believe tune food is for ebony people, it lacks seasoning as well as an alternative breakfast meat that isn't pork. The sweet tea isn't sweet tea at all. The bread served with entrées is tasteless and the butter is bland. The service is friendly and helpful as well as timely but the food served lacks seasoning and taste.

Home of the bake goods. Travel plaza offering the likes of a fuel station, truck stop facility, restaurant, pub and the ever famous sweet shoppe. From pies to pastries, breads to baked goods, cookies to cupcakes and everything in between, they’ve got your sweet tooth covered.

We stopped in here yesterday to get donuts! The donuts were delicious, but we didn't get the right ones and they were stuck together! I strive to be the level of unbothered the kids working yesterday were! There was a line forming out the door and only 1 person even bothered to start taking orders everyone else was just looking around! The younger guy behind the counter looked like he could have cared less about the people in line and then didn't listen when people gave their orders! There are so many donut places that have much better customer service! NOT IMPRESSED.

This is our number one, favorite place to stop on our many travels north to visit my husband's family. We love the plentiful parking, good layout, and the indoor facilities. There are plenty of amenities, though we have yet to try the restaurant, and lots of space for our daughter to walk around and stretch her legs. A lovely recent discovery was the toy and book section for kids!! The selection was great—not what you would expect from a "gas station" at all. The bathrooms have always been clean in my experience, though the ventilation could be improved.

I stopped for the bakery so can't comment on everything else they have here other than the restaurant looked nice & the store was well stocked. Overall the entire place was very busy, it's seems to be a popular stop, but it was also very well staffed & my wait was short. The donuts & pastries have to be seen & tasted to be believed. They're as big as a dinner plate, but delicious as well.

Oh, boy! Where do I begin... I know the parking situation can get a little hairy, but Minneapolis area, right, come on!
This place is sick!!! Lodge style showers! Full bar (pretty uncommon for a Petro or TA if I may add). Fantastic food! CLEAN!!! A+ guys! Keep it up!

This is NOT your typical Petro! This Petro is so much better! It has so many things to offer: a gift shop, a bakery and coffee shop, fantastic restaurant, clean showers and friendly staff. You gotta check out the bakery shop! They have gigantic cinnamon rolls and bear claws at a very reasonable price. If you don't want to eat at the inside restaurant, there are so many other restaurants that are in walking distance that you could go to.
This place is really amazing.
