This place was recommended by a friend passing through. The service was fairly quick for them being so busy. Reasonably priced and the ice cream was delicious. Recommend the Bourbon Pecan Pie for all your scoops.

I love the atmosphere. I love the mission. I love the kids playroom so moms can chat. I love the variety size tables. I’ve enjoyed every coffee there, but one!

This is a very family friendly place with a very welcoming atmosphere. There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and their amazing almond croissant. There is also a space for kids to play with puzzles, toys, dollhouse, kitchen, etc. I envision this being a regular hangout spot for many!

Both times I was there, the coffee tasted burned, even after it was remade. Each time I threw the coffee away and went to Caribou. I really wanted to support a local business and thought I would try it again, but after hearing about how a local family was treated, along with how I was treated ordering my beverages, I won't be back.
***edited to add the following after reading the owners response to my review as it appears I'm unable to respond any other way as it appears I have been blocked.
I have the receipts and bank statements to prove I visited Ember coffee twice. The first time I was there was the "early opening" day, the day before the store was expected to open. The owner walked over to me and said, "I know you." To which I replied, "I've never met you or seen you before." Then the owner said, "No. We've met." I then suggested that perhaps she knew my twin, because I've never met the owner before. And then the owner continued to stare after me. I won't forget the interaction because it was awkward and I felt weird. My second experience the barista asked me if I "actually know" what a "real macciato is". I did, in fact, know and did, in fact, want one. She tried hard to tell me that it "wasn't Starbucks version" to which I replied, "Good deal." Both times the coffee tasted burned. Both times I asked for a redo. Both of the re-made drinks were equally as awful. "I don't recognize your name as one of our customers", is insulting.

From the second you walk in you recognize that it is a different coffee experience; a family atmosphere. I appreciate that very much, as well as the fact that they continue to serve some of the best ice cream ever, for “after the lake” visits.

My husband and I absolutely love this coffee shop. Always friendly staff and the best coffee by far. Great addition to Big Lake.

Ice cream is good. Service is quick and the lavender infused anything is refreshing and a great addition to my area. I'm glad they have added natural , nature flavors to the menu

The best coffee in the Elk River/Big Lake/ Monticello area by far! We were so excited when we heard about Ember coming to Big Lake and we were not disappointed! I loved the lavender miel and the almond croissant was incredible! Highly recommend!!!
