I was in TC for a girls weekend a couple of weeks ago and had the Dirty Harry coffee! Twice! And we tried all the muffins! I crave the Dirty Harry coffee and wish you sold the beans so I could brew it at home!! Love this place!

Great people and good coffee, what more can you ask for?

This place basically kept me and my core staff alive for a year as we went through the process of building out our space and opening for business.

When you live on coffee, espresso, and the occasional cigarette, getting yummy strong coffee (with an encouraging smile and warm conversation) really gets you through the day.

Things have calmed down now (no cigarettes and only a cup of coffee each day), but we still look forward to greeting the ladies over at Good Harbor morning or afternoon. Each of our staff members has their favorite concoction; there’s a lot of variety and creativity!

While I generally stick to americano, espresso, or just coffee (I don’t eat sugar—sad pandas), I’ve sampled my friends’ shandys (coffee + lemonade), iced chai, and mochas, and they’re soooo tasty. I’ll never order one for myself because I know I’ll become addicted!

In response to Jennifer's review:

The espresso concentrate that Good Harbor uses for their iced drinks is not, as you so kindly put it, "old coffee." It's cold brewed coffee made with a toddy - this is a process that is very commonly used in many coffee shops, including some in Traverse City. No, it does not taste the same as hot espresso shots poured over ice, but that does not mean that it is an invalid method of making iced drinks. I highly doubt that Good Harbor's owner is going to change this because it is their standard process and, again, it is totally acceptable in comparison to industry standards. (In addition, the cost of a double shot of quality espresso on average is anywhere from $.60-$.80 cents per shot, not $.05 as you assume. The price of coffee worldwide has skyrocketed in the last five years. Add to that the cost of labor and other necessities like rent, and you have yourself low profit margins even with beverages priced at $5 a piece.)
If you were really that dissatisfied, you could have asked your barista to re-make your beverage using hot shots and I'd be willing to bet that they would have happily obliged - at no extra cost.

Good Harbor has excellent baked goods, service, AND coffee.

I got an iced blueberry coffee with milk. You can really taste the blueberry and it was very refreshing in the heat. Unique flavor, nice to have more options than just plain.

We were excited to try this place based off the rave reviews. Very disappointed. Coffee and baked goods were mediocre and out of the 3 staff members working, only 1 was friendly. The lady with the blonde and pink hair was very rude and unfriendly!

Best coffee shop in Traverse City, and honestly the best I've ever been to. Everything is scratch made and absolutely delicious.

Homemade goodies and other vegan treats!

When I moved to TC in 2000, this was the place I could count on for always fresh, always strong, always premium coffee. It's still that way. Great baked goods and a cool staff to boot.
