This Mundos location is spacious and has lots of seating, so it's great if you're looking for a place to relax, get some work done or read a book!
The drinks are great - they have a good selection of options and they also have seasonal drinks which is always fun to try. (Most recently had the cinnamon roll latte which was delicious!)
The staff are also really friendly and it's clear that they put a lot of care into making the drinks.
The avocado bowl / toast are always a hit, but I do wish they had more food options.
I think Mundos is my favorite cafe in the area, and the pour over coffee I tried there was great. I usually drink coffee with sugar and cream, but I decided to risk it and try their pour over coffee using beans from Burundi. It tasted fantastic, and the character of the coffee was really able to spring to life. Nothing else was needed. The staff was all friendly, and the decor was modern, spacious, and had a lot of plants. Some plants were even for sale. It was just a great place to spend time.
I love the Mundos atmosphere, staff, coffee, and new location! Today was my first time sitting and working at Mundos and my first time getting anything to eat. I ordered the honey latte with oat milk, which was excellent! I also got a dark chocolate espresso cookie which I didn’t finish. It was very crunchy and I wasn’t a huge fan of the overall taste. The long table at the window is a great place to work and the noise level is low enough that it wasn’t at all distracting to me yet loud enough to remind me that I’m working in a different environment, which was the point of going there (besides the coffee 🤤☕️). At some point a staff member must have mopped because all of a sudden it smelled very chemically in there and I could almost taste the cleaning fluid. The wifi was really slow, so I had to use my hotspot so I could work. I would go back and try it again. Someone said the avocado toast is amazing so I’ll try that next time.
I wish I could give separate stars/reviews for food and drink on this review. The coffee at Mundos is wonderful, but I am consistently underwhelmed by the food. I tried the vegetarian (" the homestead"?) breakfast burrito today, which was good, although I'm not a fan of root vegetables. All other food that I've tried (excluding pastries) has been relatively mediocre. For coffee, I generally have the batch brew or a peanut butter latte. Highly recommend the peanut butter latte. Worth mentioning is that the decor is fabulous. Very modern, very spacious, very clean. I love the atmosphere here.
Update: Tried the avocado bowl and it was fabulous. Highly recommend.
I ordered a hot matcha latte and was not made right. I ask for additional matcha and was told no or could pay more. I no what matcha taste likes because I have it all the time. I will not return to the Garfield location because of how I was treated. Aromas has wonderful matcha.
Really great coffee. Their overnight oats are fantastic. And they brought my order out to my car because I’m on crutches & can’t really carry. Thank you guys!!
I got a mocha like I usually do and I always order it with oat milk, (cause I'm lactose intolerant) it had regular milk and I had a reaction to it later. I went back and told them what happened and I was told that "we are usually always good about it and we went through a lot of oat milk so are you sure it was real milk?". I said "yes I am sure" and then I said "no big deal, people mess up" they continued to ask me what I ate that morning and last night and then reluctantly gave me a free drink coupon. just came across as very defensive and didn't really apologize. I still like their business and hope I get a better experience next time.

We had a chai latte that was perfect. And also a delicious oat milk latte. Expertly crafted. Space is beautiful and great for working.

Glad that Mundos is expanding! So cool to have multiple locations, I love that this one is downtown and so spacious. Great as usual!
