Espresso Bay

The atmosphere tries to fuse local coffeeshop and quick tourist stop, staff is friendly and quick to deliver. The coffee, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Today we were treated to a grande size cup of disappointment, the coffee was burnt and tasted like cardboard set on fire. Perhaps it was a bad batch, but it was enough to turn us away.

I always love this place. The coffee is great. They have a wonderful fireplace to relax at and the staff is so nice. They also carry wide variety of coffees and brewing options. The pour over is great but so are their mochas and teas. I love to stop in after shopping and relax a bit.

Very nice staff, even if I just came from the airport looking homeless with bags, they delivered excellent service & attitude 👏

Would like to see more smoothie or sugar free options, but their selection is well enough for an average coffee enthusiast 🙏

Really liked the espresso served here. The staff was very friendly, service was a bit slow and the place was pretty warm inside, I would have liked some more AC but the coffee was worth it! Definitely would recommend for a casual coffee break during a nice summer day

Upon entering Espresso Bay the atmosphere was nice, neat, but not welcoming. The doors were wide open and 4 customers were seated on a couch. The barista was busy making their order and another employee was mopping. Neither said anything to us. We walked to the other end of the counter and back. Still not being acknowledged. At this point I thought maybe they were closing so I walked back out of the store and read their store hours. They were closing in 15 minutes. The female employee mopping eventually stopped and took our order. My wife and I ordered cherry smoothies (which were excellent) and a danish. We are always respectful of closing times and decided to sit until they closed. Somehow my wife spilled her smoothie on the floor prior to closing. Immediately the female employee who had mopped looked at my wife, rolled her eyes, and walked away. I approached the barista who was taking another order, explained our accident and offered to clean it up. She gave me a wash. At that time the other female employee returned with a mop. I apologized to ear as well and offered to clean up. She ignored my apology, said nothing, and began cleaning.

We would have gone back the next day for another smoothie (it was that good), however, the employee who rolled her eyes was working again when we walked by their store.

Ordered 2 coffee's to go. They forgot to make one of the drinks and made a group of 5 drink's before ours. That group was behind us in line. Then blamed it on someone else "must have picked yours up". Which was impossible because we walked up immediately when they called the name for the first drink and only one was on the counter. Drinks were ok, but nothing special.

Very friendly service in a clean cafe. I had a large hot chocolate with blueberry flavor added and it was great 6 bucks is kinda high but worth it for the great flavor. Highly reccomended.

Been waiting more than 18 minutes for two coffees. Even went to two shops while my husband waited and still nothing. Poor owner the high schoolers eventually stopped taking new patrons so they could catch up but the girls were making drinks for themselves in the process.

Stopped in before heading to Peterson Park for sunset. Hubby got a decaf, which was self serve and only luke warm. We were told where the microwave was to heat it up.

I ordered a pumpkin spice latte which was good but this too could have been hotter

Staff was friendly enough and prices were ok. They do offer a very big size, 32 oz, so it was nice having so many size options.

I like that it's situated downtown and you could sit outside and people watch our inside for quieter conversation.
