Chocolatea

Chocolatea has been our source of loose leaf in town for years, always have a nice selection of different varieties (especially black, which I prefer anyway). Also always have fun seasonal ones, as well. The selection of tinned teas, pots, chocolates and such is also always substantial - and their desserts/chocolates selection is always out of control 🤤

We got some tea lattes today, and the All That Jazz jasmine one was absurdly good. Wow. We also talked with the barista for a bit about curiosity for yerba mate, and she was definitely very familiar and showed us a bombilla set in the store - and brought us out a mate sample later, it was very kind of her!

There is definitely a good effort for COVID prevention here - website requests wearing masks *properly* (as all staff were), sani right when you walk in, had to get tea scoops and markers from staff to ensure sanitization.

Yikes! I don't usually write reviews but my first experience here was horrible. The Thai Boba tea tasted way too sweet and there was not a single hint of Thai tea taste. I'm Thai and I have had many good ones (including in the U.S.) so you could say I'm quite picky.. but really?! Even if you haven't had a Thai tea before, ANYONE would say this is disgusting.

Amazing little shop. If you're looking to try something different, the macarons and bubble tea are a must.
I went for the classic piña colada bubble tea with brown sugar crystals and treated myself with a variety of flavored macarons.

Love the tea shop. I mainly go here for the loose leaf tea in bulk. Huge selection, self serve,no minimum, and fair prices for loose leaf.
Also check out the pantry next door owned by the same family with the same great service and selections of oils, vinegars and. spices.

Staff is very friendly and the food and drinks are always good! Definitely would recommend to friends.

I love this place, they have a great selection of drinks, food, treats. I love their boba tea, my go to is honeydew with honey popping pearls… yum! They also have merchandise you can purchase, for gifts and or your tea accessories. If it isn’t busy, I love to sit at the window where you can see the little river and enjoy your tea in peace.

This has to be the cutest cafe in town! The atmosphere is very relaxing, and the outdoor seating has wonderful scenery. They also have a large variety of teas and other tasty treats!

Many jars of loose tea for purchase by the ounce. Everyone is so pleasant.

I'm so incredibly happy with this place. The atmosphere is calm, the staff are wonderful, and the tea & chocolate are delicious. Outdoor seating over Portage Creek is a perfect reprieve from daily stressors.
