Loved the natural light in this coffee shop. This spot is now one of my new favorite places in Lake Orion. The coffee was excellent and the coffee baristas are all friendly and kind. The location is off the beaten path overlooking the park so don’t hesitate to investigate to find their front door!

My first visit here and I fell in love! The latte was not boring tasting, like most cafe's. And the baked goods were outstanding. I also loved the openness and general vibe of the outside/inside.

I love the atmosphere. I love how spacious this place is option wise of where to sit and enjoy your coffee and local pastry. I love supporting local businesses. I got the pecan rose latte which was so scrumptious, can't wait to try more and I also got the chocolate crossiant one of my go to faves!

The coffee is amazing!
The Pastries are phenomenal!
The service is excellent! The Barista (The blonde girl) is Super friendly. She made your coffee with love and a smile.
I highly recommend the Scone cookie and the chocolate croissant with your coffee.
I don't usually write a Google review, but you guys deserve it.

By FAR one of my favorite places, the natural lighting is beautiful. Good music. Amazing people. There's alternative milk options. I LOVE it here! Amazing for studying.

Such a meet place for coffee and the baristas are really talented with latte art. This is a must visit coffee shop to meet with friend or do a-little work. The mugs are also a nice touch!

Shaded Bloom is a small specialty coffee roaster based in Clarkston. My brother is a longtime customer of theirs (they hand delivered to his house early in th pandemic!) and likes the coffee quite a lot. So, when we found out that their planned cafe in Lake Orion had opened, we decided to go together to check it out.
I will say that I was, on the whole, very satisfied. There is a wide variety of espresso drinks, pour-overs, and a quality selection of pastries from Fenton-based Crust bakery. During my half hour or so at the cafe, I drank two servings of espresso, and the extractions were done well and were consistent.
I also want to note my appreciation for the tasteful decoration and the owners' community engagement in Lake Orion, e.g. by sponsoring little league baseball.
Now a few quibbles:
Even on a weekday morning, it was difficult to find a seat because so many places were taken by guests working on laptops. This is a problem that many cafes face and a difficult one to address. It is also a question of guest etiquette. But keep in mind that if you come to visit to chat with a friend over coffee, you might not find a suitable place as a result.
Finally, and I think this is ultimately a matter of taste, but although I found my espresso to be drinkable and well-pulled, I am not really a fan of the profile of the coffeehouse blend. It's a combination of washed and natural processed beans and is roasted a bit dark for my preference (which skews light). I would appreciate a single-origin alternative espresso, perhaps on a rotating basis.

This is my favorite coffee spot. It‘s so cozy and the coffee is excellent and they have gluten-free and dairy free muffins as well. Unfortunately they now close at 3 pm, so I will not be able to go there too often any more as I often went there after work. Maybe I will make it there every now and then on a Saturday…

Just stopped in for my first time at Shaded Bloom. The barista was cool and very knowledgeable. I really enjoyed my bear claw and macchiato sitting at the window with the outdoor scenery.
