Water Street Coffee Joint‎ (Oakland)

Been a couple of years. Water Street still maintains its coffee service, wonderfully brewed. The space remain comfortable with large windows. This time I had the Chorizo Strada: spectacular, plenty large, great midday meal. Worth the time to stop and savor the coffee.

Vanilla latte with almond milk is always my go to. I typically frequent other locations, but ended up here one day. At other locations the coffee is a hit or miss, but the day I was here it was a hit. Very delicious, nice interior atmosphere. Had a meeting here and it was peaceful for 2 hours.

Chicken pot pie in a crescent roll!🤔 Yes it was worth the $8. Ate it before I got a photo 🤣. BlackBerry crumble bar and shortcake bar all 10's. The staff was friendly and efficient and a nice place to do some reading or computer work 🙂.

The service was very nice and professional. The salad was amazing. The smoothie was very good. They have a wonderful selection of pastries, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and desserts. All is homemade and locally produced.
The dining room was clean and very popular.
The bathroom was clean and stocked.
I will definitely go again.

Great little coffee shop. Parking can be a little bit tricky. I love that they have XL coffees. I ordered the Dolce de Leche. It was really good. It could have been a little bit more caramely. But I really like caramel.

From the outside, the small building looks like an old and much-used, anonymous-looking strip mall storefront. Inside, however, was bright, clean, welcoming and pleasing to the eye. The morning crowd was good-sized, but my caffeine companion and I were helped immediately. Reasonable prices, very competitive. The coffee, a cup of Ethiopian drip, was fantastic. Piping hot and fresh, perfectly roasted so you can actually TASTE the specific notes in the varietal. Plenty of seating was available despite the crowd of students and people waking up before going to work. The ambiance was excellent; my friend and I were able to easily converse without having to shout or strain to hear each other. I did not order any of the many stellar looking pastries, but they all looked very fresh and quite tempting. Excellent coffeehouse. Starbucks...who? I'm now forever a Water Street booster. Excellent in every regard.

Great local coffee joint, with Vegan options!

Super cool coffee house with good ambience and coffee. Great selection of drinks and a fairly wide selection of food as well. At night this location serves cocktails too! I’ve been coming here for coffee on Friday mornings for a couple years now and I always enjoy my time.

I love Water Street and only gave them three stars bc they seem to have trouble with their mobile orders. Selections have been out of stock and order completion for pickup has been late by as much as 20 minutes. Technology can be a beast sometimes, but I'd rather they not offer mobile ordering at all if it's not working for the store or the customers.

Over $5 for a 12oz Americano. Quality acceptable, served by a kid who doesn't want to be there. Premium prices should buy a premium product. Last visit for me.
