Came here for my morning coffee. It was delicious! The baristas were humble, kind and relaxed! The atmosphere was welcoming and creative! I enjoyed my morning cup so much, I came back to get an afternoon cup and snagged a giant delicious chocolate chip cookie. 12/10 recommend! Wishing there was a Matchhead where I live!

Beautiful and clean space. Their chai latte was delicious, just wish it would have been warm. I would guess it was steamed to 120 at the hottest.

Amazing chai latte and mint tea. The atmosphere is too dark for me but we sat near the front windows so it made for a great morning. Most of the visitors sat alone with there laptops and headphones in the darkest regions. The furniture is so comfy. The workers are great at what they do. Also any tips you give and profits go toward some good causes. I don't know how the baristas are paid but they must have something worked out. It does take a minute to get your order though, don't expect it to be like other coffee joints. All in all it isn't a bad place to go.

A nice place to get some coffee.
Space is open and provides a nice sheltered place to stay.
Baristas are friendly - to a fault. It seems most of them would rather talk with friends than focus on POS or making drinks.
Coffee is good, the selection is limited. Pastries are tasty.
It can be either very quiet or very loud in there, so hard to plan for the environment you’ll be in.
It is attached to Radiant, and so the crowd mostly seems to be people heavily involved with that church - young, white, nondenominational Christians. That being said, nothing is overtly or explicitly Christian about the business.

I'm not a huge coffee guy, but their hot chocolate is AMAZING!

Excellent coffee & wonderful vibes! The staff is
friendly & the space looks awesome (and has lots
of room). The bakery items are delicious,
especially the almond cookie cake. Their latte was
incredible as is their Onyx coffee! Highly
recommend

I got an oatmilk latte and a giant whoopie pie to split with friends. Great coffee, great atmoshpere, very chill. Love that the baristas donate their tips back to humanitarian organizations and I appreciate the early hours!

Visited today to protest! I want everyone to know this coffee shop is owned by a church that doesn’t believe I should have a family. Plus, I want Christians in Kalamazoo to know there are a TON of pro-LGBTQ churches here.

We spoke to the manager, Carolyn (hope I’m spelling that correctly). She was very kind, but the truth is, no amount of kindness can cover up what Radiant believes about women, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized groups. They’ll say you’re welcome in the space, they’ll say it’s an atmosphere crafted to make you feel comfortable, but do you really want to sip an espresso sitting in the same chairs church elders sit while they scheme about how to indoctrinate a city against LGBTQ+ people?

Don’t support this coffee shop!

Edit: as I mentioned earlier, the kindness shown by members of churches like this one, and even by the reply to this review, should not be misconstrued as anything but manipulative.

Conservative Evangelicals believe they hold the one singular, objective, universal truth. They believe they hold the only key to true peace and joy. When an Evangelical invites you to converse with them, make no mistake, their end goal is not to learn anything; it is to convert you to their lifestyle. If you value liberty, if you value any religious walk that is not fundamentalist Christianity, if you value the rights of marginalized people, etc, conservative Evangelicalism is not for you.

New to town and looking for someplace to work, found this spot around the corner from where I live. Good coffee, great pastries, and the barista was very friendly. I got the pumpkin cake/bar and a miel latte. The latte was well made with a nice layer of foam that held.
Very open and inviting atmosphere with plenty of space to work/study. Love the ambience overall. Will def be back
