Great place. We chose to not wait the 45 minutes and go inside and order our food and sat outside under heated area and picked it up when the buzzer went off. Well worth it. Our appetizers were perfect. This is a very open area outside and lots of seating indoors, but you need to reserve. Advice here is just go and wait for an outdoor table which is just as good. We will return.

We had to stop in because of the Founders name recognition. The beers were really great and tasted fresh - it was cool to try things exclusive to the tasting room that you could won’t find other places.

We just got a side of macaroni and cheese (and it was good) and the other food looked good as well!

They offer tours and have an extensive gift shop as well. The service could have been better and wasn’t quite as friendly and interactive as the other breweries we went to, but still worth stopping in (especially if you are visiting).

My wife and I have been to Founders many times, but this is the first time in a few years. We came in a Saturday evening with some friends from out of town and we had a great experience. The brews were great and it wasn’t terribly crowded like in the past.

All 4 of use went with our own flight and we also had Spinach dip for a snack. Our waiter was great the entire time!

We will be back!

Fun place, we went there at opening, 11am on a Saturday and sat outside. The outdoor bartender was nice. You place your order with him and get a buzzer. When food is done, you go grab it. It’s a good system that makes things quick. 84* Mid September isn’t bad at all for MI! Go to Founders and enjoy!!

If in Grand Rapids this is a must for the experience. If you are looking for a really unique brewery this won’t be the place for you but as much of their beer is available nationwide they have done a great job at consistency in their taste. All the beers I tried were delicious as expected from here. Make sure to get here early as this is a tourist destination and will fill up quickly. We couldn’t find seating inside but they still had patio seating available. Really great spot.

We flew in from Miami to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday as it’s his favorite brewery…. and it did not disappoint. We did the brewery tour (tip… book in advance) and Ivan our tour guide was excellent. Not only informing us about the brewery but also the history of Grand Rapids. It’s was great to try beers that could only be bought there (the bottled versions safely made it back to Miami). The food and service was also very good. We will be back… no milestone birthday needed.

We loved this brewery! Soo many delicious beers. We just got their cheese pizza and it was bomb more the. Enough food for 2 people. Great vibes in the restaurant and the service was on point. Shout out to Katie, she was an amazing server and knowledgeable about the beers.

Cool vibe on a Saturday afternoon. We stopped in for a snack and a beer. It seemed family friendly and I'm a huge fan of the beer and food. I got a 2017 CBS. There was a party in the beer garden, adult only. Overall, highly recommend.

Founders Brewing Co is a very cool space with a fun upbeat atmosphere, great food and fantastic brews!

When we arrived we were promptly greeted, but due to the amount of tables already filled inside, we were only offered a seat outdoor. We had hoped to be inside as it was chilly, but were pleasantly surprised by the warmth of the overhead infrared heaters. It made it comfortable and we were able to enjoy the outdoors which was actually great.

The beverage selection was perfect and the food options were better than expected. The quality of the food we ordered was pretty amazing for a brewery and exceeded expectations.

There are outdoor fire pits, multi level seating and a pretty impressive layout. The only thing that kept this from 5 stars was the service, which was pretty slow, but they were busy. I know there are staffing challenges everywhere these days and it is was really no worse than anywhere else these days.

We did not know until after we were seated that there is a parking lot where they validate when you show your receipt. Parking on the street was very limited in the surrounding are the day we went, so this is good to know.

While I generally love coming here, and have been doing so for years, I felt it was time to write a review of how bad the service is. It’s like the staff are just some kind of collection of slow hipster robots that go about doing their job at a mechanically sluggish pace. No one ever seems to smile, welcome you with a warm friendly greeting, thank you for coming in, or engage in any kind of conversation to ask you about you, where you’re from, what brought you in, are you enjoying your experience, nothing. When you think of the Grand Rapids beer scene, Founders is a well established name. The beers are of quality not found much elsewhere in the country. The facility is great, the outdoor seating is pretty nice. The food is always fresh and good. It would just be nice if they could somehow motivate their staff to be more welcoming. I’m under the impression that all service staff share a collective tip pool. Maybe I’m wrong, but could that have something to do with it?
