I do not think I need to describe how good this microbrewery is doing! They have a good / quality product. I had theirs beers many times and they are alway amazing. However, this is the first time I have ever been in their facilities. It’s pretty impressive. The place is huge and the ambiance is awesome. There is a festival going on today and I had a lot of fun. As far as the beer, I had the All Day IPA, which is their most popular. I’m sure most people have had it. @ Founders Taproom - Grand Rapids

We came in and got seated 20 minutes ago and have not had a single server come to our table despite several servers wandering the taproom. I understand being understaffed but that is not the case here, even if it were not being addressed at all is a huge problem. If you don't have enough servers to handle the whole restaurant, don't seat the whole restaurant.

Simply put, Founders is the best microbrewery in Michigan - arguably, the country. Their staple beers are consistent and excellent. I always gravitate toward the tap room only beers, as they are usually unique and delicious.
On top of that, the food is simply divine. I can't recommend the beer cheese, Dirty Bastard sammie, or giant soft pretzels enough. The staff delivers your goods super quick and are extremely knowledgeable with their beer and food menus. The outdoor patio is the best place to enjoy a brew outside in the city. Furthermore, they boast a really nice room you can rent - I had my wedding reception there and they were professional, affordable, and provided exactly what we needed.
Just go to Founders, get a beer, sit outside, and be part of the micro revolution happening in GR!

Love this place! Not a local so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Showed up late on a Saturday night and place was pretty packed but we were able to get in and get a seat. Drinks were phenomenal, food was delicious and service was top notch. Ordered a beer that was not available at the bar I was at and the bartender went across the building to get my drink for me. Have always loved founders beer and now I’m a big fan of their brewery, will be back for sure!

Enjoyed the heck out of this spot. Mrs. BP and I rolled in and grabbed a couple of stools at the bar. We were helped right away by the bar staff, who explained that anyone behind the counter could help us get anything we wanted, and that was no lie. The staff was super responsive, fast, and also good with recommendations. Place was booming, music was pounding, had the baseball game on the TVs. A live band came in to do a sound check for their evening show and then the regular music went back on. Place is pretty loud, so don't expect it to be intimate if that's what you were looking for. Also, you can tell the staff enjoys working there and each other. Lot of playful interactions and laughter. A must if in GR!

A great brewery experience: Laid back atmosphere, good food (and large portions), and fantastic beer. Gets busy but there is plenty of seating (indoors and outdoors). Service is good even when it gets busy (they keep the beers full!)

This place is amazing! It's a super cool building with plenty of outdoor seating and fires/heat lamps when the weather calls for it. The beer is great and so is the service. If you're ordering food, you can't go wrong with The Glutton (a sandwich that had me drooling the moment it came out of the kitchen). They also book love music acts, so make sure to check out the schedule before you go.

The place is huge, the beer is fantastic, and the food is great! If you're in the area, definitely stop by. Everyone was helpful and they have some cool stuff in their shop. Easy access to 131 and I-196, so don't worry about getting lost when coming/leaving here!

Visit every time I'm in Grand Rapids. Great beer selection with exclusive taproom offerings and good pub style food. Beautiful outdoor patio overlooking downtown Grand Rapids. Very busy most days which can make getting a table difficult but worth the wait.

Impressive exterior, large parking lot with 5 h free parking, beerhall atmosphere inside. Over the top beers, decent sandwiches, and acceptable munchies.
Rated for beer, it would be 6 stars. I like the fact that they have 15 beers on the menu that you cannot get anywhere else but at the brewery. I like it that they keep seasonals on tap and I appreciate the fact that they have regular firkin events and nitro taps. They have at least 3 bars, one of them huge, which ensures easy access to their heavenly libations.
The ticket machine of the parking lot was out of tickets, nobody could get on the lot and we ended up paying $20 further down the street. The waiting system is beerhall like. You don't have a personal waiter, bar staff is walking around the huge hall and you flag down whoever works there. Water is not refilled and you end up walking to the bar to order food and beer.
