What a treat it has been to grab delicious, fresh-n-funky food and expertly-crafted lattes at Root Cafe in Fennville! I've tried several things on the menu, the tomato-basil bisque soup is terrific, and the the panini with roasted shrooms, provolone, creamy gorgonzola, red onions and spinach - well it's heavenly! The cafe is set inside an artist gallery full of paintings, pottery, jewelry, cards, breads and tons of other non-touristy must-haves. This place is doing farm-to-table in the middle of farms! Great service, great vibe, absolutely love the place ;)

Such a gem. Ordered the hippie hash with tempeh and an americano and both were so good! You can browse around and peek at artwork and local fare while you wait for your food. Definitely coming back for cocktails in the evening. Love it here!

The most amazing food and beautiful ambiance! We were a group of 6 with a toddler, Jade was extremely polite and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Shout out to Mike who made us the the most amazing black bean burgers- we couldn’t just stop eating! Love it and will definitely return every time we are in the area❤️

Wonderful sandwiches, the service was slow but we weren't in a hurry so it wasn't a problem. We sat outside so didn't get to look around at the art and crafts, maybe next time.

Root is an amazing high-end creative cafe in downtown Fennville. Walking in for the first time I did not expect to find the trove of treasures inside. The comfortable seating area in front of an electric fireplace, oil canvases along the wall, along with pottery from Khnemu Studio somehow seems to gel perfectly with the rustic woodwork and historical architecture of the building. The coffee was absolutely superb! However, the pizza my parents ordered did not agree with any of us, and unfortunately was not to our liking. But the good news is they have plenty of other choices for us to choose from in our next visit, ranging from paninis and wraps to out of the norm options you wouldn't expect to find. They also have unique gift items and pastas I've never heard before like 'Squid Ink'. Definitely a fun and very different experience with elegant charm and delicious coffee!

My husband and I are staying locally and ordered delivery from here. My husband said his pho was good. My dinner on the other hand? $11 for eggs that weren't delivered and toasted bread with powdered sugar on top, which doesn't qualify as french toast. I had my husband take a bite of it to verify because I couldn't believe it. Hopefully in person dining would be better because I wouldn't recommend delivery.

I picked up food right before they closed. The lady that i called to was super duper polite on the phone. I didn’t really know what to get & she happily helped me decide. When i picked up the food they did not seem upset that i ordered so close to their closing time. I tipped the back or the restaurant for that too. I was very appreciative. Maybe don’t do paper straws though. My straw was limp & didn’t work within like 5-10 minutes. Great service & people though. Thank you!!

The flatbread pizza my wife and I shared was excellent. The food my daughters got was top notch. It was evident they were not fully prepared for a group of 5 and another (our friends) of 6 to come in all at once, but they did an excellent job making sure we felt welcomed and were satisfied.
