Excellent Breakfast!
Great food, good service, good value.
It was a busy Saturday, and there was a line out the door with a 20 minute wait for a table of five.
Our first time here we had the biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash, portabelo and Swiss omelette, and a pancake with bananas and chocolate chips.
The biscuits and gravy full order covered the whole large plate. The gravy was very good and the biscuits were just right, homemade I believe. The omelette was just ok nothing special. But the cinnamon roll… it was huge and delicious! That alone is worth the wait. The pancake was also the size of the plate and it was thick and fluffy. I took half a biscuit and gravy home for leftovers as well as half my corned beef hash, which was a large portion for a side order and worth the price.
Server was friendly but busy not very attentive.
Overall I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.

INCREDIBLE! Best breakfast I've had at a mom and pop shop in a LONG time! Portions are AMAZING! Everything is scratch-made and it shows!!! I highly recommend the iron skillet. The cinnamon toast is a winner. Stop by if you're heading to Boyne City or Charlevoix. You won't be disappointed!

Came in Sunday morning to a very crowded restaurant but luckily there was one table for us.

The menu is pretty extensive and I love the fact you can order one piece of french toast, which I did.

The french toast I ordered with the homemade bread. You can definitely tell it's homemade bread, yeasty and thick. I would have preferred the bread be soaked a bit longer in the egg but it was very good.

Hubby ordered the sunrise burger and the egg was wonderful. The burger had a delicious taste as well. The potatoes were ordered crispy and they came crispy.

My sister ordered the skillet and that too was delicious.

Everything came out hot.

As I mentioned they were pretty busy so our waitress did a good job of checking on us.

We walked here so not sure about parking and for the three of us we spent $40 (without tip).

Good place to grab some breakfast!

Hometown café with good food and friendly staff. We were visiting the area and it seemed this was a place for the locals to come in and enjoy breakfast. I got the sausage omelet with a biscuit and my husband got the Basics ( 2 eggs, American fries, bacon, and toast) . I also ordered a homemade cinnamon roll to go :) My omelet was a little tasteless and rubbery but the filling of American fries, sausage, cheese and onions were really good! My husband enjoyed his meal as well. So glad we stopped in for breakfast and got a taste of East Jordan :)

Just absolutely wonderful. I'm a truck driver and I hadn't had a home cooked meal in a few days and I saw the nicest looking humble cafe in a beautiful area and it smelled so good I had to stop. Right away walking in I see what is obviously some regulars. Some older gentlemen and I leaned in and asked if it was worth the stop and they all agreed. So I came all the way in and mind you it's not a huge place with bells and whistles but it's so clean and we'll organized looked great! So anyway I proceeded to speak with Jessica whom I thought was just a waitress here it is owner operator taking care of customers herself with the most pleasant disposition on her birthday no less! (Happy Birthday again!) Anyways the food was great homemade biscuits to die for and a jumbo cinnamon rolls were down right impressive. 10/10 recommend. If I lived in the area I'd be a regular. Thank you Jessica!

First off update your online menu. We checked it out before heading out and the price difference is drastic. Not only that when I ordered my skillet they said toast comes on side. Waitress listed off a bunch of different kinds without mentioning cinnamon would be an upcharge. And then I noticed it when I went to pay and the lady was rather rude and insistent that they don't have to tell you because it's on the menu. All I suggested is that they tell you if you ask. Not that hard. I didn't see all the toast options prior. Also we had our 2 young boys with us and they got pancakes. They were huge they both only finished half. Our Waitress almost let us order 2 each for both boys without mentioning they are massive. Luckily my husband asked size and we went with one each but they were much bigger than she showed even. I got the iron skillet and that was delicious. Low rating for overall experience.

I'm from four hours down state and come here every single time I'm in the area. Amazing diner experience, delicious food, good prices. One of my favorite places to eat. The homemade bread is legit.

Excellent food and service. We had Grilled Chicken Sandwiches and Onion Rings / Fries. Onion rings were top notch. Took homemade cinnamon rolls to go.
