The only sit down restaurant around Boyne city that serves breakfast and it was delicious. The staff was very friendly and seated us quickly.

I have been very pleased with the food and service at south arm cafe. Their breakfast are very tasty, special orders are followed well. The new owners are keeping the quality we have learned to expect at this location. Give them a try; you may have to wait for a table, but it is worth the wait.

My family and I have enjoyed eating here for years, even before it was south arm cafe. Last sunday was our last visit. After a young man touched the coffee pot spout to a coffee cup he was asked for clean cup. The young gentleman was professional and polite and went to grab another. Our waitress returned with a cup and slammed in onto our table. She then smacked the back of her hand to cup and said " I touched your cup" when the waitress was told a little later that her response wasn't appreciated things got nasty. Next I hear her commenting on paying taxes. Walking by our table to drop a line or two to argue (a argument no one at our table was participating in). She threw the check in front of me and walked away as we were requesting to go boxes. It was then I found the hair backed into my daughter's cinnamon roll. When asked that it be taken off our bill, or replaced the response was "why would you want it replaced?! It might have another hair" then a women (maybe the owner) comes in saying it wasnt baked in, it was on top ( it wasnt, I closely examined it before bringing it to their attention because I really didnt want to make a bad situation worse, but I also felt it was important they knew). Never have I experienced, or even witnessed such poor customer service and aggressive behavior. The only professional I saw there was the young man who made an honest mistake and was correcting it.

My wife and I visited for breakfast 8/16/17 at 10:45am . We ordered a simple omelette with toast and coffee. After ordering, it took 30minutes before our meals were served. Furthermore , the meals were prepared and cooked poorly . We will not return to this restaurant .

Great spot! Had their omelette and pancake on the side (who knew??) laid-back style, charming atmosphere. Altogether a pleasant experience.
