Great place to sit and do some work, excellent baked goods. Their breakfast sandwiches always feel like they should be better, but there's just something missing. With that being said, I'd still recommend enjoying what The Roost has to offer.

Yummy treats and great drink options, including wine and beer. Free Wi-Fi but it stinks that they turn it off at 8p on certain nights. Therefore, not a great place to hang and study, which I guess is how they want it. Too bad, because students spend a great deal on caffeine and snacks!

The food and coffee are great. I mostly use cafes for working. It's probably a good place for short work meetings between two or three people, but it's not a place to buy coffee and study all day. If you plan to work for more than a couple hours you should probably find another cafe, even if you're buying a lot. They don't have outlets, and I think that's on purpose. They also turn off the internet at like 8pm (it's possible that's just one day of the week).

Incredible customer service, affordable yet incredible local beers on draft, and some of the best meat substitutes I've ever had. The Buffalo Tempeh whether it's the wings or the sandwich is one of the best things I've ever had. Free Wi-Fi and an overall warm, pleasant aesthetic make this place an absolute mandatory stop for a quick bite to eat in the Northampton are. Not to mention they always have incredible Vegan dessert options as well.

Local internet cafe/coffee house. Serves a variety of different tastes. Normally a little loud. Great pastries. And foodie treats with focus on "Fair Trade" "local grown" "Organic" local brewed beer.
Pricy but good.
Can get packed occasional live music.

All hours of the day this place is a great place to recharge and catch up with your studies and your friends. It's got a typical cafe feel during the day, and at night it's like" sophisticated indoor elementary recess with alcohol" with bored games, cards, and paper to draw on.

Great coffee, good sandwiches, and really great granola. We eat here every time we are in Northampton. It is always great.

This place does not have [public] outlets or wifi, but they have great food, so I can’t be mad about it! I came here to study, and I’m sure it’d be a great place to do that if you don’t need internet access or anything. That’s the only reason for the 4/5 stars. I haven’t had a good waffle in a while, and they didn’t disappoint!

This is one of those places I try to get into but just cant. It feels too forced and whenever I have something to eat or drink there I cant help but wonder what all the fuss is about. I greatly prefer the coffee, baked goods, and breakfast foods elsewhere way more. On top of it not wowing me, its often crowded and what seating there is can be downright uncomfortable. Maybe its self flaggelating hip furniture.

Great lattes & good cookies normally stop by here after having dinner. Haven't tried other items on their menu yet. Place has a great vibe. Offers free wifi.
