Nice food (love the walnut pesto on the “itty bitty”), good coffee, and friendly service. Under renovations—will look forward to seeing the results when I’m back in town. Love the Ukrainian flag cookie!

The Market chicken sandwich was served on a baguette-ish bread that was soft with a bit of crunch on the ends. The spicy rooster sauce added a little heat and flavor! The picked onions did not seem pickled at all; they were diced and a little on the firm side.
The Yenta sandwich had a great crunch (see pics) perfectly toasted sourdough bread. The veggies and cheese all thinly sliced. The desserts all look spectacularly scrumptious!!!! OMGOODNESS. I couldn’t decide and got 2!! The fruit tart (with an unseen thin layer of chocolate) - I ate most of it while waiting for the sandwich. Absolutely delightful! I only knew it had chocolate bc I almost only got the banana crème tart because it has a visible layer of chocolate under the banana slices. Life’s short I got both.

I've been coming here for years when I'm in town and it's one of my favorite places in Northampton for quality consistency and atmosphere. Expect it to get busy and crowded because it's great but if you catch it on a slow afternoon it's a lovely place to sit for a while and enjoy a drink and a snack. They do have a lot of seating and some big tables! The food is really good. The sandwiches are amazing! The staff is also really great throughout the years which says a lot since it does get quite busy!

I love the atmosphere at this place! Everything is made to order so it may feel like there is some wait time, but it is totally worth it. The Roost team is very friendly and hardworking. They even deliver your order wherever you are sitting in the restaurant!
Also, the dessert selection is so good! Haven't had anything there that I haven't like so far!

Kindest Baristas. And what's this, sweet and savory Waffles? Though I must say the Cowgirl Cookies are my favorite. Love The Roost. -Smiles

The best place to have a nice meal and a chill noon with your friend. The atmosphere is so sweet and chill and the food is not over-sweetened and is really really good and tasteful. This place encouraged me to write my first review in honour of my amazing time there. I will definitely come back soon! 🫶

Kudos for having tasty vegan options but 3 out of the 3 times I’ve gone here, they can’t seem to get the orders right. The food gets 4 stars but service can use some work at 3 stars.
It doesn’t matter if you place the order online (where they get the order right in front of them) or ordering over the phone, something is always “off”. Whether it’s forgetting a requested (and PAID for) sauce, extra proteins or even sticking to what is included in the menu description of said dishes, it seems the staff is not paying attention.
Also, if you place your order online, their site obligates you to pay tip on take out orders so just call your order in (get a printed receipt and double check what you received vs what you ordered because chances are, they left something off).
If customers are not dining in nor getting at table service, don’t force tipping before they even get their order or even arrive at the establishment. Tips are earned, they aren’t a ‘right’ to be collected.

The coffee and espresso here is great, and the breakfast burritos are a fantastic value. Pastries and breakfast sandwiches have all been phenomenal, too. This place tends to get really crowded, but that’s the only downside. This is a fantastic spot and definitely worth wandering down Main Street for!

I come here every couple of weeks for a grilled cheese sandwich. It is one of my favorite cafes in town for that. The atmosphere is nice, usually not too crowded, and I like being able to order online. I would highly recommend it.
