Very unique and warm environment. Friendly staff and the food is great and different. A bit too pricey for my liking but everything is organic and stuff is it's what you kinda expect. Large black coffee is $4.00 though which is a little crazy especially since the large seemed to be between a DD's medium and large.

Fantastic rustic atmosphere in an old renovated mill with lots of other interesting shops of all types to stroll. Great find in the Lowell area. Very unique and much appreciated in these times of generic corporate coffee shops. Only recommendation to them is to increase the signage and directions to get into their location as its somewhat confusing.

Best coffee house in Lowell! Service can be a little slow when they're slammed, but absolutely worth it. The new remodel takes away some of the funky coziness, but the trade-off is more room. Great coffee, good people, awesome location.

Amazing vibe! Beautiful place! Coffee was great! Will definitely go again with more time at hand! Would love to spend a few hours here reading a book or working on something. Sipping on great coffee. I tried the Maple Caramel Latte. It was great!

Lovely cafe and tasty sandwich/cake/coffee! Relaxed vibe, great ambience. Beautiful big brick building with other interesting, independent shops on level 4 of the main building which has a huge sign "5" outside the front. Regeneration area. Well worth a visit.

Another hidden gem...kind of difficult to get parking, but the location in the Mill is fantastic. The coffee is awesome, and the crowd is trendy. A great place to relax and people watch. Mill #5 is in itself, a destination.

I have been meaning to write this review since November. When I was in college (2 years ago) this place was an incredible hidden gem. Since then, I strongly feel like it has become an incredible meme. In November, I went to Coffee and Cotton and got the Grilled Cheese of the Month. They used to have a signature grilled cheese of the week, and I remember being extremely impressed every time. Naturally, I was excited to try their cranberry and goat cheese grilled cheese of the month. It was nearly $10, the price of which was not actively displayed on the menu. I wish I had eaten the sandwich before leaving, because I would have immediately asked for a refund.
The grilled cheese consisted of 8-10 potent cranberries, a few walnuts, and two thin swathes of goat cheese. The cranberries were so overwhelming and I took the off and tried to salvage what I could of just the goat cheese, walnuts, and bread. Unfortunately, I to throw away nearly half of it.
Please remember that that grilled cheese was nearly $10.
I was still so hungry that I ate a mediocre vegetable bowl from Costco, and that was more satisfying than my grilled cheese from Coffee and Cotton.
I do really hope that I just had an unfortunate experience, but I don’t think I will get food from here again. Their coffee and ambience is still pretty good, so for that it gets away with 3 stars.
Barely.
I truly hope that Coffee and Cotton will save itself, because it was an incredible spot to go to when I was in college. I would be such a shame to see it descend into mediocrity like my Grilled Cheese of the Month.

First off the espresso is delicious and strong, coffee is locally brewed and everything seems higher than average quality. The space is great too and I love how it feels like a well kept secret. Will definitely come back!

The food is very good. Healthy option and top quality with fresh ingredients. The service is very poor. I asked for a fork to eat my ancient grain bowl then I had to wait for someone to bring them out. I was standing at the counter. We sat down to have our meal and when we got our order it was in take out boxes. One tables was never cleared of dishes the the whole time we were there. The food was excellent but the service made us feel like we not appreciated.

I was going to give this a 4 just because it is so hard to find. But didn't feel that was fair given my excellent experience otherwise. There is no signage and it's on the 4th floor of an old Mill. That said, once found it was delightful. I had beef stew which was excellent. It could have been warmer, but that is a personal preference. The entire building is wonderful once decoded.
I must also add, that there is a small print shop across the hall that produces some beautifully interesting work and is worth the visit just to see the vintage press.
