I can’t stomach the physical pain it brings me to pay $15 for a burrito anywhere - except here. Bread+Roses is worth it (in moderation so I don’t go instantly broke) they have made an important space that this area of the Cape has sorely missed. And don’t get me wrong, the food is great. Small portions and so expensive, but really quality food. Not just “vegan food”, food. Bread+Roses is a phenomenal space with great food and coffee, the best staff, and the heart to say what is right no matter how many ignorant bigots’ business they lose in the process.
(Seriously though, I think it was maybe an accident, but once I got two Portuguese breakfast burritos, a large iced latte with flavor, and a large ice coffee and with the tip the total was $52. I had to take an extended grace period from you guys to let my wallet recover. I really do love you though)
Also I don’t ever leave reviews places, I just wanted to offset the people giving you bad reviews for your ideology, not that you really needed my help with a 4.7 rating though!

Had such a delicious lunch! We got the rice bowl and the soba noodle bowl! Both so great. Really awesome atmosphere and great customer service!

This place is amazing!!! I’m not vegan but couldn’t even tell the difference. It’s excellent and the chefs really show in their presentation and taste how much dedication and effort they put into every meal. Don’t believe the one star reviews about this place they are people upset with things they sell that are “left-winged”. Last I checked this is a free country and you should stand up for what you believe in!! I’m not political and necessarily agree with everything they sell but that’s their right! I think all sides should express their opinions in a safe way and selling bumper stickers and boots of what they believe in is fantastic and even if you strongly disagree there’s no reason for hate, we’re all in this together! We need more love in this world from all sides!

I love this place. The atmosphere is great, and the people who work there treat everyone who comes in with respect and integrity. That is rare to see in a summer spot with high traffic! Their community engagement is also a model for other business on Main St. What a great addition to the neighborhood!

The cutest little place! The owner is lovely. The drinks and all vegan food was delish and I loved the added atmosphere of being in a bookstore. I would definitely come back. I should also add that they have an excellent collection of progressive children's books! Lots to support diversity training and social-emotional learning.

I love coming here ! The food is always fantastic and I love the gluten free baked goods ! :) Everyone is so kind, and the atmosphere reminds me of Busboys and Poets in DC. Highly recommended you stop in !!

Love this place! It’s so so important for our community. I’m grateful it’s here! We got the breakfast sandwich today and it was simply incredible. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and my daughter loved being able to color in the kids room while we waited for our food. Best place ever!

One of the very few places on the Cape where I feel truly welcome and comfortable. The coffee is amazing and food is excellent too. Not to mention their wide selection of books!

Bread and Roses is everything you are hoping to find in a cozy Bookshop Cafe. It's warm and inviting. They have exceptional coffee, books, gifts, cards, notebooks and puzzles.
And they're open late which is everything that the Cape has been missing.
They are a fully vegan establishment but if you're not vegan don't let that turn you away. The management is kind and helpful and completely understanding if you are new to the experience.
We look forward to going back often.
