Everything is amazing here. This spot was a 7 minute drive from where we were staying and it is perfect. It’s a super cute cafe/bookstore with amazing coffee, food, and service! My boyfriend and I were worried about finding a good breakfast spot and this place was perfect. On our week trip we went here 4 times. We ordered the breakfast flatbread, the avocado toast, and the breakfast sandwich (which was our favorite). The coffee was also amazing (and I am pretty picky about coffee). We will definitely be back any time we end up in the area.

Proudly vegan!! Delicious food and smoothies with great purpose. The food was prepared with fresh ingredients and had a great taste. We tried the Earls, peanut butter cup smoothies which were so refreshing for the summer weather, unfortunately we also tried the matcha piccu smoothie but that one just tasted like lavender. But there’s something for everyone. I loved the decoration and the accessibility of books.

I was traveling through the Cape and went into the nearest coffee shop I could find- little did I know that I was about to find my new favorite place! Even from outside the cafe, I knew I was going to love the store. It is so relaxing to be in, and is so incredibly cute and quaint!! The employees were all fantastic, super helpful and personable. They have amazing coffee, food, and books! There’s also plenty of extra fun things and a cozy reading area too. It’s great to see local businesses supporting great causes too, and I definitely will be coming back here as often as I can!!

Discovering Bread + Roses made me happy our boat got canceled to Nantucket. Here is why:
1. The bookstore/coffee shop combo is one of my favorite mergers of a business model. This place has a ton of character and is super quaint. It’s very easy to get cozy here and it’s a great place if you have children as well.
2. Coffee is fantastic! They also do not serve any milk here. So oat is their base. I was happy about that.
3. Really friendly staff and extremely clean space.
4. They sell new and used books!
Overall this place is awesome. Highly recommend checking it out. Check my photos to get a sense of the space.

I just love coming here! Every visit I have either by myself, with my family or with friends, I feel welcomed and well taken care of. I’m not a vegan but their delicious and nutritious food inspires me to want to be - the grilled sweet potato sandwich is my fav. Yummy drinks with fun flavors like lavender and pistachio are always on point. The book selection and sideline items are by far some of the best I’ve seen on the Cape. Atmosphere is inclusive, fun and somewhere you can pop in quick or hang out for hours. We love you Nate and the whole B&R crew!

Having moved to the cape from a more urban area I was disappointed in the lack of good vegan food and social justice minded businesses... I am so happy Bread & Roses opened, it's my favorite coffee shop to work at and I try to go weekly! The food is amazing (the Portuguese breakfast wrap is my favorite), the coffee is great, and it's such a welcoming, inclusive place for all members of the community. The bookstore has a thoughtful collection and the staff is really helpful, they even ordered a book for me that wasn't in stock!

I absolutely adore this place! When I lived on Cape, it was a struggle to find a restaurant with enough vegan options to make the visit worthwhile. Cue Bread + Roses! With a completely vegan menu, the options are plentiful. I can never decide what to try because I want everything (the iced lavender chai and breakfast sandwich are my personal go-to’s). Vegans local to Cape Cod know that the feeling of having *options* on a menu is few and far between.
Food aside (though the food is not to be slept on), the people and atmosphere are top-tier. It’s cozy and feels like home. You are surrounded by books, puzzles, good food, live music (+ karaoke!) and good vibes in general.
It is clear from the second you enter the establishment that EVERYONE is welcome and accepted as they are. I even enjoy the way they made light of some unnecessary negative reviews left by people with limiting beliefs. Those reviews say more about the people who wrote them than the restaurant itself.
Kindness goes a long way, and it’s clear that Bread + Roses is quickly gaining the love and attention that it deserves. Much love to you B+R!

I’m born and raised in Hyannis and Bread and Roses is such an awesome addition to our community. I could spend all day there drinking the delicious coffee, amazing vegan food and smoothies, and well crafted cocktails. The staff is awesome and so personable. The vibes at B&R are immaculate and it’s a super cozy space to read, chat, or get your work done! I love the large table in the side room! 11/10 would recommend and I can’t wait to return!
