Little Notch Bakery and Café

We are staying nearby for an extended weekend getaway and wanted a quick bite to eat. This pizza was amazing! Seriousy. I am notoriously difficult to please when dining out and this was a hit for the entire family. Super yummy.

Locally owned and consistent great food! Pizza is delicious, hot sandwiches are out of this world - blackened chicken and steak with garlic aioli are my favs!

Not a coffee shop! Just drip coffe, no espresso machine, nothing.

Stopped in for quick breakfast before leaving town. We got three ham and cheese croissant and three coffees. In addition I thought I would buy some pastries to go as well....1 scone, 2 sticky buns, 2 chocolate chip shortbread cookies and 1 Apple tart. There were no prices on any items so I asked about the sticky buns so I could get an idea of the cost. They were $2.75 a piece so I figured the rest of the prices would be average price. The total bill was $44.99. We sat and ate and I thought about the bill. I looked over the receipt and noticed the Apple tart alone was $9.00, yes $9.00 that was not a typo. It was tasty but not $9.00 worth. The ham and cheese croissant was small with very little ham and cheese, which were $4.75 each. All the other pastries were tasty and worth the price paid. If you use sweet and low or equal in your coffee, bring your own. I think they should post the price of each pastry in the display next to the name of the pastry. We ate a full sit-down hot breakfast at two cats in bar harbor for less than the amount paid here

Literally the best blue berry pie in the world! Crust wasn’t super sweet like a gas station prepackaged pie, but more like an old fashioned buttery soft crust filled with undoubtedly homemade blueberry filling. Loved the pizzas and sandwiches too! Really everything is homemade and delicious.

Stopped by at this wonderful little place on our way back to Bar Harbour from the lighthouse. It had a little bit of everything - salads, hot & cold sandwiches, and pizza. All made fresh! We had the chicken panini sandwich and pizza. Both were delicious and had great flavor! Service was fast. Nice change from all the lobster options. Best part - fresh made breads and other goodies!

OMG!!! Delicious!!! Cookies are so good!! We just tried the cookies but everything looked delicious. Right now staff welcomes you outside and you order from there, you can see the bakery from the window. We are planning on shopping again before we return back home.

Would give no stars if that was an option. Terrible customer service. Asked for paper plates and the gentleman unlocked the door just to say "we're closed." And he proceeds to lock it back again. You would think he was going to provide some assistance after going through all that effort of unlocking the door. Getting paper plates takes 10 seconds. But no, he didn't even consider the fact that I was there just 5 minutes ago. I'd rather him just signal to me that he didn't even want to be bothered than go such extra lengths to deny assistance. I can take a hint if given one. It's not that hard. The pizza wasn't worth the poor customer service and interacting with workers with no common sense.

The sandwiches and pastries at this place are delicious! The food was some of the best we had on the entire island, and in fact we went back three days in a row and bought a pie and a dozen raspberry tarts to take home with us! This place is a can't miss!

Stayed nearby and had a couple of puffy pastries from here. One was stuffed with feta and spinach, the other was stuffed with ham and cheese. They were delicious and I had them out of the refrigerator the next day. Perfect breakfast or light lunch treats when heading into the park.
