Stopped here twice during our visit to Portland. My husband and I both loved the lattes. The avocado toast and the fruit tart we got were delicious. Staff was friendly too!

Better than starbucks! Super friendly staff. I loved their mocha latte, and every treat I tried was delicious!!! Huge shout out to an awesome coffee shop with fabulous service 😊 Thank you

Such friendly people, and such a delicious latte--and extra delicious sambousas! We were also very tempted by the avocado toast that someone else ordered, which was the most beautiful avocado toast I've ever seen.

It was an extra perk to be able to pick up soba snickerdoodles from Norimoto Bakery. Can't wait to come back and visit again!

I really enjoyed visiting the cafe on my way through Portland. Very friend people, very clean and the pain viane meat pie I had was great and also fresh coffee.

Went over for my first time this morning, and the first thing I noticed was how nice the owners are! I got a mocha which was amazing, and avocado toast that was the best I’ve ever had! Will definitely be making this my go-to morning spot from now on.

Stopped in this weekend for some coffee and sombousas and was not disappointed! Had a cold brew with their Burundi Star Coffee which has nice refreshing sweet notes which is perfect for the heat. Sambousa was delicious and had just a hint of heat that left me wanting another (or several!).

Best coffee I have ever had. I go to Portland twice a year and always stop by and grab a few bags. Excellent staff and service.

Came to Portland for a day and found ourselves in this quaint little coffee shop. The workers were very friendly and the coffee and tea (mocha latte & Chai Latte) were delicious! If I ever find myself back in Portland I’ll be sure to come back.

My fiance and I were visiting Portland for the weekend, and we stopped into Burundi for a quick drip coffee. It was one of the best drip coffees I've ever had, and I drink a LOT of different coffee. We'll be back!

Burundi Star Coffee is a welcome addition to St. John St. neighborhood. The owners & staff are consistently friendly, helpful, & welcoming when my busy toddler & I drop in for coffee & snacks. The coffee is perfect, the sambusas are a delicious second breakfast/midmorning snack, & Norimoto Bakery pastries never disappoint. We're slowly and happily working our way through their menu.
