very nice. Not required to wear face masks 🙄. Following COVID rules behind counter with plastic glass. Will take cash. Didn't ask about plastic cards. Most are sick 😫 of recommendations which are not Laws. Coffee is very good 👍 better than Duncan Donuts 🍩. Size is a little smaller but well worth it. There are other items in shop for sale. Check it out for yourself. My ice Coffee was a little under $4. There are pastry/other. Don't see any reason for children not coming inside. 3 or 4 tables to sit down and eat. Relaxing environment. Cashier had to speak up for me to hear. She spoke English with accent. English is second language. Good to keep in mind. She was very nice.
Tips are appreciated.

Perfectly steamed latte and a delicious roast. Bought a bag of whole bean coffee and am enjoying it at home this morning. We also tried the savory banana soup-- a different flavor palette than we're used to, but glad we did. Very tasty. Will be back to try more dishes soon...

We had breakfast here on Labor Day, and absolutely loved this cafe. Great cappuccinos, lovely people, and delicious food (we had veg sambousas and pain viande) We will definitely go back the next time we are in Portland. Merci, André!

Just walked in Burundi Star Coffee for the first time! I got a cold brew and some avocado toast and then decided to get the banana soup to try! Everything is SO good! The avocado toast is seriously on another level just one of the slices filled me up! Not only is everything delicious but the owners are so so kind :) i’ll be back.

Went for coffee, avocado toast, and beignets. Coffee rocked it and we loved the toast. The beignet was cornmeal based and we liked trying something different. We picked up a bag of espresso beans and look forward to sipping BSC coffee on our porch! The owner was super friendly and the coffee is still a fresh memory a day later. Go to BSC and support a local, family owned business.

Stumbled upon this little gem while driving through Portland this morning & needed a coffee. Excellent cappuccino, but I was so excited for the sambousas! I had two beef ones for a late breakfast & they were spicy & delicious! Didn’t manage to get any photos before I devoured them, but will definitely go back for more!

NICE! Ahmaazing coffee, the avocado toast is out of this world. We tried all the little things and then... AND THEN went back for lunch. Sweet mom and pop Burundi owners. We should fill this place every day, Portland peeps

Woman owned with a wonderful purpose: helping local farmers in her home country (Burundi in central Africa). Coffee is rich and flavorful, lots of fancy drink options. Avocado toast is AMAZING. Also on offer are locally made baskets (beautiful, great gifts) and beans. Comfortable cafe area, very pandemic safe and clean and lovely owners. Please support local businesses - and have great coffee in the process! A win-win!

Best avacado toast I've ever had! Freshly cut sourdough, so fresh and fluffy. Very good amount of avacado and friendly staff 😁

Friendly owners and staff. Usually a nice atmosphere. The coffee is top notch, and there's usually very good pastries on offer. It's an unpretentious but high quality place. It's always perfectly clean inside. Although the parking situation isn't perfect, you can usually find a spot fairly close.
