Great place to eat in town, we stopped in for breakfast, food was great service outstanding. Coffee cup was never empty, squash donut was still warm when served. Portions generous, and everything was tasty and great.
It is cute because of their location and the fact that they are tied into the lore of the Appalachian Trail... But there is not much to say about their wraps. Cozy and local... I just feel like the wrap with hummus was the wrong thing to order.... Oh and the crunchy Kale salad that was three bucks more as a side wasn't enough to feed an ant and bland... Don't waste your time on to go wraps and upgraded sides...tipical Ma and Pa local restaurant.
Picked up a bunch of breakfast to go since there wasn't any outdoor dining. Monty cristos, coffee, donuts, lemonade, and omelettes. Delicious, generous portions. The wait was a little more than half an hour.
I had no idea that this is a stopping point for many after completing the Appalachian Trail hike. Very cool to see nicknames on ceiling tiles from then hikers. We went on our way into Baxter state park to do some camping. Food was good. We were tempted to leave the park early to return for more.
My family stopped in here for breakfast on our way to hike Mt. Katadhin. The food was great! Large portions and very filling. I had the french toast with scrambled eggs, sausage and hashbrowns which I would recommend. The blueberry pancakes also looked really good. The place was pretty packed when we got in but service was quick and we were able to get our food in good time. Bathrooms are clean and the place is cozy. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for great food at a reasonable price.

Great atmosphere! It's neat to see all the AT hikers who have etched their legacy into the ceiling. Food was pretty good, coffee was endless.

Five stars for hiker nostalgia. A local diner that celebrates Mt. Katahdin, the Appalachian Trail and all things hikers.
Loved the hiker momentoes inlaind on the counter and the trail names written by thru hikers on the ceiling. The Cafe lives up to its name.
The meals are home style. The service proves excellent, in spite of being very busy. Its a local diner with a heart for the stranger.

Excellent breakfast made to order, even the yogurt parfait. The granola in the parfait was still crunchy! That doesn't happen often.
Place was full of happy people on a fall weekend. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.
