Love these small quaint restaurants It was busy but the staff was very attentive and friendly The homemade donuts and bread was yummy Tots were delicious too! Loved the writing on the ceiling of all the AT trail names- so cool.
They were in town for a family. On the way home on the Sunday we left he stopped for breakfast at this little quaint diner that clearly the locals love. It was snowing and we went in and had a very nice and simple breakfast. It filled us too we got home back to Connecticut I would recommend if I was back in town
This place us as authentic as it gets. A true taste of Maine from the homemade molasses donuts to the blueberry pies! Everything is authentic old world Maine here! I especially like their vegetarian choices, and very much enjoyed their bean and cheese burrito. But everything here is amazing it's to die for! They allow the people who walked the Appalachian Trail to sign their ceiling tiles which is wicked cute. They have a super duper big ice cream sundae which if you eat all of it, you get a prize. This is a must try Restaurant for that Maine experience!
Excellent food and friendly staff making the best of a unique situation that most small businesses and restaurants are facing right now in the world of covid. I ordered a "Wet Appalachian Trail burrito" and fries. Who knew you could get a decent burrito this far from the Mexican border? Support your local small businesses. 10/10, would eat at again.
Wonderful atmosphere and good foods. Omelettes are yummy and infinite coffee cup refill will keep you going on morning hikes. The cafe is full of hikers. You can get some valuable information about trails too. The stuff was friendly and toilets were clean.
Great food, friendly staff, and an exciting vibe from all the ceiling tiles with the "autographs" of hundreds of AT finishers. Get the donuts - they're legendary. Millinocket is a special place, and the AT Cafe is a big reason for it. NOTE: the Cafe has been closing in mid-October through the winter, so call ahead to be sure it's open!
