Cafe This Way

Very good! In fact excellent. This town is starving for breakfast places and Cafe This Way is the place to go. If you happen to be in Bar Harbor in October half the businesses are already closed, so finding a decent place to eat can be a challenge. So glad I saw the sign for this.

Absolutely love this place.. tucked away around the corner from the main street. Vibe is fantastic.. good was excellent and they automatically give you real maple syrup! 🍁

Bright spot on a gray morning! Our host Tony was so welcoming, and remembered guests’ names from their previous visits. Katelyn our server kept us well supplied with coffee and whatever else we needed. The staff tag-teams in getting food to the tables, and we were surprised at how quickly the kitchen staff prepared our breakfast. Excellent blueberry pancakes, expertly cooked over-easy eggs, and tasty strawberry jam for the sourdough toast. We both had “The Country Breakfast”, which is pictured. Sausage (a tad salty) for me and bacon (nice and crispy) for my wife. Definitely will come back and highly recommend!

The staff at this place were so friendly and helpful. We initially stopped by to grab coffee, and the host told us that while they don't do coffee to go in the evenings, he recommended another place down the street. So when we were trying to decide where to meet friends for dinner, we came right back!

This place has a nice, dog-friendly outdoor dining area with heat lamps (huge plus!) a lot of vegetation options. We came in with 2 large dogs and they were able to find us a nice, comfortable table. All my friends and partner are vegetarian and they were really happy with the selection.

Overall the food was great, staff was awesome, atmosphere was cozy; the only thing I'd personally take a star off for (but I won't bc of all of the above) is that the lobster roll didn't have much lobster in it (see pic) compared to most places I've had lobster rolls at.

Amazing blueberry pancakes! Fast service, very kind staff, and overall wonderful atmosphere. My husband and I liked it so much we went twice! We’ll probably go once more before we leave Bar Harbor!

Loved Cafe This Way! This place was recommended to us by a friend and it was so good. Came by for breakfast after an early morning hike in Acadia, and the line was already pretty long at 8am. We ended up waiting maybe half an hour, and the line just got longer behind us. Once we sat down and ordered though, our food came very quickly for how busy they were!

Their coffee is pretty good, but the blueberry pancakes are to DIE FOR. They were so good, I wish I could have them every day. The restaurant itself is cute and has a nice atmosphere - everything is very open, which is nice. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great, unique stop for breakfast in Bar Harbor!

Seriously one of the best brunch experiences.. the person running the host stand yesterday was welcoming and hilarious, the wait was nothing, and we got a great table with a dog bowl of water for our old girl. The food is DELISH. The dirty chai drink was just as good. Our waitress was fast and sweet too. Just a well oiled machine I would go here all the damn time if I lived local. Def worth going!!

Cafe this Way is a gem! Absolutely the best eggs Benedict. The blueberry pancakes are divine, crispy outer edge, fluffy on the inside. Mimosas are very generous size, (I think they use fresh squeezed OJ.) We went twice during our stay in Bar Harbor. Usually a wait, but not long, the host is excellent and keeps things moving. Our waiter the 2nd time was Harrison, excellent waiter, extremely friendly remembers your order without writing it down, super impressed with him! Don’t miss this place!!!

Recommended to us by a friend while we were in the area, we're so glad we stopped by for breakfast! I got a classic plate with eggs, toast, and homefries. Absolutely delicious! The space itself was lovely as well! Definitely a must visit!
