This place was AWESOME!!! The pours with the gelato took it to the next level and the espresso martini was the best I’ve ever had. Every city needs a place like this and this was one of my favorite places we’ve visited in NOLA. (Chris was so friendly and a great server!)
This place is completely crazy. They have coffee, but also do affogato...ice cream which you topped with a shot of espresso. You can also get a shot of something alcoholic, because it is also a bar. The decor is a wild mix of bright colors, and all the work staff have on shirts with lips!!
I had the Big Easy..vanilla gelato topped with crushed pistachios, a stropwafel, and edible glitter. Pour over your shot of espresso... Voila! Affogato.
Just be warned....they like their hip hop music very, very loud.
I recently visited Dripp & it was nothing short of perfect. The staff was very attentive, and I didn't have to wait long for orders, even when they were busy. The atmosphere is interesting, upbeat, and chill. And the food & drinks were ALL great! These guys really know what they're doing with their gelato creations! (The gelato is made in-house!) I really enjoyed my visit and I can't wait to go back! Here are a few of the things I've tried:
Drinks NOLA PTSD: An Old Fashioned, but really smooth. The spicy cinnamon and sweet syrup make a really nice pairing. DRIZZY: Irish whiskey, espresso, cinnamon and cream. I had mine served hot along with a dessert cake and it was absolutely delicious!
Mocktails ( I'm not usually a mocktail person but these are delicious! Some of the best mocktails I've ever had.) CARONDELET CARSTOP: The basil, berries, & lavender honey combo is SO tasty. It's very similar to a mule, and it was so good I ordered a second one! POYDRAS PUNCH: This one is unique and harder to describe. The blood orange and ginger give it such a nice flavor!
Latte - they make a really great latte, and it can't be beat for $6! I had lavender added to mine and it was SO delicious! I work in the area and this is going to be my new evening go to for coffee.
Food CHARCUTERIE BOARD: Pretty straight forward. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful & the jams were very good. COCONUT CAKE: OMG, this cake was to die for & the presentation was absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to go back and get another one. I definitely recommend pairing it with some sort of coffee or espresso cocktail. I was in heaven.
Gelato: SPIKED PECAN PRALINE Gelato SCOOP: This one was another excellent dessert. The pecans were candied and delicious. And it was just boozy enough without being too much. THE VOODO YOU DO: The chocolate Gelato was rich and smooth. It paired extremely well with the espresso pour over. Very very good. 84 WORLD'S FAIR: The tiramisu gelato paired really well with the amaretto. Again, I got the espresso pour over. This one was also really good. FRANCHISE: Lemon pie gelato with lavender drizzle and I added the Indigo gin boozy pour over. Holy smokes was this good! ZULU: Coconut gelato with dark chocolate and black cherry. I got the chocolate liqueur boozy pour over and it paired really well. It wasn't too overpowering.
Even with everything I ordered I can honestly say that nothing at all was short of delicious! This place deserves more than five stars. It's not often that I find a dining experience that I have absolutely no complaints or even suggestions of improvement. This is definitely going on my short list of places that I recommend to people!
Went here with my friend after doing an event in the area and definitely recommend it! We got the flight and decided to split it. I definitely recommend splitting it since it can be a lot for just one person, especially if you're coming for dessert after a meal. The server who was on when we came in was really lovely and helpful! I didn't get her name but she had blonde hair and immaculate eyeliner. Her input was super helpful and she had some funny comments as well! Nice place for a casual hangout and little reprieve from the heat. I think it would be nice for dates.
Upon arrival we hear the “YOUUUUU” of Soulja Boy’s classic “Crank Dat”. Dawned ceiling to floor with a colorful and eclectic interior, Drip offers a hip place to enjoy a midday or post-dinner treat. We had the 84s World Fair and it was outta this world. Menu is a bit pricey but definitely worth it!
I recently organized an event here for my company and we had a fantastic time! The size was absolutely perfect for us. The owners were great to work with and the servers were very nice and polite. Everyone who attended raved about the place and loved how different it was compared to all the hotel ballrooms and convention center they were going to that weekend for other events/meetings. The food was delicious and not one person left without having some Affogato. Highly recommend! Thank you, Drip!
What a little gem this place is! The concept, the ambiance, the affogato, the drinks and the amazing service... where do I begin?! I wondered down to Drip during a quick weekend trip to NOLA and as soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted my their bartender and barista, Evan. Being from the service industry, I was trying to get the scoop on where else I should check out. He gave great menu recommendations, places to see and eat in the city and provided great customer service overall. He seemed so passionate about the café that I actually asked if he was the owner! I even went back my second night in town and ordered a NOLA PTSD... absolutely delish. Be sure to include this experience on your next NOLA trip itinerary... you will not be disappointed! Cheers!

This place was fantastic. I will be going back.
I am sitting at the bar now and I am so happy. The staff is so fun and the food is awesome. Very creative flavors.
Edit: I just left another trip and once again this place is amazing.
