EDIT: We’ve come twice more since our first excellent experience. Each time things have been a bit disappointing. The first visit they were out of the bagel with pesto. They kindly apologized at the front, and the owner himself told me he was planning on making more. We’ve come twice more since and both times there’s no pesto bagel that’s listed on their menu. Disappointing. Today, during our third visit, we were met by two guys instead of the two friendly ladies that generally work the front. They didn’t greet us like before, and when I asked for the pesto bagel (for the third time this week) he told me to go out back where they’re having an event with bagels… what? Came back in after the bagel adventure for coffee. I ordered the Honey Badger, which I had the day prior, but was a bit too sweet. When I told him that this morning and asked for less honey, he told me he doubted it was the honey because it’s “naturally sweet” and that it was probably the vanilla. I didn’t ask for less vanilla. I asked for less honey. He gave me no vanilla and regular honey. When he was done making the drinks he wanted to make, he didn’t bring them to us like the other cashiers had two visits prior, or even call my name (he never asked… they did before tho and still brought them), so the coffees sat on the counter watering down, without a label to differentiate the difference between the two (bc one was supposed to be less sweet). Also, I was charged $26+ for two large iced coffees, but the menu said $7 EACH for the Honey Badger, so be aware of that.

The everything bagel has the best seasoning ever. Perfect New York style bagel with chew and crisp outside texture… it is to a bagel what a good casing is to a sausage. IYKYK. The gimlet coffee - you’ll never taste anything like it. Get it. So refreshing. And the chocolate chip cookie is a masterpiece with chunky chocolate topped with the perfect balance of flakey salt. Everyone’s incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. I love this place. Day 2/7 in New Orleans and I want to start every morning with something from Coffee Science.

Was so good I barely got a good photo before everything was gone.

Excellent coffee shop! Love the experience, locally made crafts available as well!

Great coffee, nice people, beautiful back patio

Out of the way from the touristy areas of New Orleans, but well worth the side trip, whether you're a local or out-of-towner. The food is excellent...we got a veggie sandwich and a turkey/pesto sandwich to go, plus king cake and a chocolate tart, and they were all excellent. Sandwiches were flavorful and filling. The king cake was a perfect mix of dough and the filling, plus tasty icing. The chocolate tart was incredibly rich! Staff was lighthearted, casual and fun to talk to.

The coffee is amazing, but inexplicably there is NO WIFI, like ever, like they just don't have it!?!! so if you wanna work and don't have a hotspot.... you're out of luck

Location is questionable but coffee is great! I like their little backyard courtyard for hanging out and enjoying their delicious coffee!

NO WIFI! Coffee was good and I was looking forward to working in this space for a day, enjoying lunch and then a cocktail later, but they don't have WIFI so I couldn't stick around and work.

Consistently Delicious! Family business run well. Coffee is worth it to make several u-turns and locate parking (not too bad even during lunch time). I haven't had lunch foods but my colleagues enjoyed their sandwiches.

High quality coffee, cool backyard, some good mixed coffee drinks when made right (super hit and miss though). Staff is not that helpful (they're generally overwhelmed - 1 person taking orders and making the coffee drinks). On my most recent trip ordered a breakfast burrito, was told it would be a while so was pushed over to the pastries. 2 people order burritos directly after me and they were told it would be just a few minutes. Then they get their burritos before I even got my coffee.

I've had both good and bad experiences here, but the bad has begun to outweigh the good recently.

So I've never actually been in to the shop itself (I plan to one of these days) but I am a repeat customer and order frequently through postmates. Their coffee and pastries are hands down the best I've ever had. I 100% recommend you check it out and order a Nebula!!
