Gramps Coffee & Donuts

So, so, so good. Stopped here during a short stay in Owensboro and we weren't disappointed. The place is cute and had a line out the door when we came on Saturday morning... but it moved relatively quickly. The donts are sweet and soft with crispy edges. Not your typical donut, but one worth trying (again, and again, and again). The coffee was also quite good.

This is such a fun stop if you’re in the area. We visited family not too far away, and my dad (who is newly “Gramps” had to take us here! We met Gramps himself, and had a great breakfast! Everything from the cold brew to the donuts made our day!

Small corner bakery with a boutique feel where you can get a good cup of coffee and a donut.
They have about 5-6 specialty donuts each day. They are the fried, crunchy and flaky type with lots of great flavor.
They have the best atmosphere of any of the donut shops with extra seating in the back that gives it a quaint downtown feel without being dingy.
Fresh flavorful coffee that pairs well with their donuts. (I drink mine black, so if your going for one of those sugar bombs of a coffee I cant help you here.)
Gramps is usually sitting there so you can say hi. He always seems thrilled to be there.

Best coffee and donuts in town. The staff is quick, friendly, and takes attention to detail. Not to mention you often get to meet Gramps himself, holding the door open for guest. The coffee shop ambiance is 2nd to none. Do yourself a favor and put this on your list while visiting downtown Owensboro.

Cute, quaint decor. Friendly staff. Quick service even when busy. All 7 donut selections at time of visit - two I tried: delicious! Lattes, hot chocolate, tea, soft drinks available - no decaf though. Tic-tac-toe!

Flakey donuts with choice of classic flavors and interesting variety. Great taste. Donuts are more fresh in the morning or when busy, as you would expect.

Great service, great atmosphere, great coffee and great "donuts"! A must stop in Owensboro... and you might even run into Gramps himself!

I came to through the area on a bike ride (I’m from the Lexington KY area) and stopped by Gramps as I had been hearing good things. I was little worried I wouldn’t like it being I’m a traditional round with hole in the middle, donut guy. I loved it! The donuts are super high quality, and the coffee is really good. It is in a great location with a cool vibe. I can see it welcoming all kinds of ages and types of people. I hear good things about the owners and their love for the community. I can’t wait to go back and will be back for sure anytime I’m in the area. Hopefully they will branch out closer to home!
