Context, I rate coffee shops for its space and atmosphere for an individual more than anything, and Crescent Hill Coffee is a partner(?) / overflow of Eggs of Frankfort. So at around 10am on a Sunday, it becomes more of a restaurant than a coffee shop so the vibe definitely changes and it becomes louder and for bigger groups, opposed to a place where you can cozy down by yourself to study or read a book, or chat with a friend. That's why I only gave 4 stars. Definitely just a personal preference, it's a wise business plan especially in this economy, just not my type of coffee shop.
However, it is a great space with good coffee and delicious pastry. It's nice and cozy on slower times with lots of real plants and ample seating area (about 7 tables). I had their Cinnamon Bun latte and it was quite good--not too sweet, and you can taste the warm spices. I also had their ham and cheese...thing and the pastry was wonderfully baked, flaky and delicious! The filling was pretty good but the pastry was the star.
This place is so cute! Friendly service, good range of drink options, right next to Eggs Over Frankfort. Service was fast, the coffee was delicious. Plenty of space inside if you want to stay awhile. So glad to see a new, local, and adorable coffee shop take this location over since the Heine Bros closed.
I drink black coffee. The Coffee is ok. The atmosphere is classic and warm. The lids pop off the cups a lot, I have had multiple experiences here with lids that donβt fit tightly. They pop off just from setting the cup down, and while drinking. Probably not going back unless meeting someone there, and I can drink without a lid.
My current review is 3 stars because their lids are terrible. It doesn't seem to matter how I grab my drink and drink it, the lid pops off. It repeatedly spills, very frustrating.
This is the third lid that has done this in recent memory. For months before this, no problems at all. I feel like they switched lids and now they are terrible.
Everything else is fine. As I write this, they have a new woman who works there. She is making drinks by looking out of a book and it seems pretty evident management put her on the floor before she was trained. Obviously, she'll improve over time but I am going to avoid coming here for a month. Hopefully they run out of these lids and order new ones.
Good coffee, and a neat atmosphere, small cozy place. I think my only complaint is that my capp was a little small; I asked if they did it Italian/traditional espresso drink sizing, IE 6oz for a capp, and the barista said they could do it for there and indicated the cup, which definitely was a 6oz capp cup, but only got about a cortado. Still very smooth of espresso! I don't blame the barista too much though, I imagine if the shop doesn't already specialize in traditional sizes that it's an unusual ask and she was working solo with a number of people entering. Still a neat place.
Nice vibe. Smells delicious with coffee as soon as you walk in. Definitely a good place to go kick back and enjoy some quiet time. Cute and spacious for the little space

Absolutely one of the best coffee shops around. Personal and really fantastic coffee so delicious. Wishing they had bigger size cups. πππ

My wife ordered a cinnamon bun latte and enjoyed it. Interesting vibes, quite sparse, not my go-to coffee shop in Louisville.

Even tho' they were slammed after the Derby Festival runs, our service, coffee and food were great!
