Brevede Coffee Distillery District

You can't go wrong with this place. Tons of space to sit and work, and super friendly staff. They really put a lot of effort into making this a nice space to visit rather than just another coffee shop, but it's also very affordable. Drip is only $3.50 before tip and they offer free refills! The owners are also very benevolent and do a lot of philanthropic work both in the community and abroad. Lately they've been funneling a lot of support to Ukraine. We love Brevede!

Huge coffee shop right in lex! And they’ve got a slayer espresso!! It’s a warm and welcoming space with lots of outdoor seating and games for when the weather is warmer. The coffee is really well made as well, the baristas know their stuff. Can’t decide what I like better, the chocolate croissant or the waffle. Do yourself a favor and go here!

Atmosphere is a lively industrial vibe. Open and spacious. Looks like cornhole and connect four would be fun to play when COVID is over.

Excellent temperature control, latte art, and milk texture even on hot chocolate! Great skills behind the bar! Try the egg croissant, loved mine fluffy and full flavored.

At first glance this seemed like every other gentrified of warehouse coffee shop I’d been to. However upon closer inspection, it’s much more than just that. Quality is unparalleled for this area. I’m a travel nurse and after tasting nearly every establishment in the immediate area this place risen to the top of my favorites. I was first bummed they only have one size, normally I’m a large coffee person but the smaller (likely 12oz?) cup was not what I was expecting as normally most places have all sizes. However here, it’s quality over quantity and the quality is absolute gold. Highly recommended.

Purchased Cafe Au Lait and cream cheese bagel. Staff was friendly. They replenished my coffee at no charge, very thoughtful.
