R Coffeehouse
Review of R Coffeehouse
R Coffeehouse: a quaint family-owned coffee shop that offers homemade meals, specialty drinks, local art, and live music. This coffee shop is located at 1144 Bitting St, Wichita, KS 67203, nestled in a neighborhood of small entrepreneurs type businesses in old buildings that may have been homes. The shop is open from Monday to Sunday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The atmosphere of R Coffeehouse is enchanting, with an artistic vibe that adds an extra layer of magic. The outdoor seating is a wonderful touch, allowing you to enjoy the great weather while sipping on their delicious coffee and indulging in their delectable food. The menu offers a great variety of options, and everything is superb. The coffee is rich and flavorful, and the food is absolutely delicious. The pancakes are life-altering, and the breakfast sandwiches are some of the best in town.
The staff at R Coffeehouse is welcoming, friendly, and provides excellent service. The coffeehouse also offers a great selection of non-dairy options for those with dietary restrictions. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous.
R Coffeehouse is not just a coffee shop; it is also an art gallery, an internet cafe, and a live music venue. The shop features local art, and the walls are adorned with beautiful paintings and photographs. The live music performances are a great addition to the atmosphere, and the shop is known for hosting talented musicians regularly.
Overall, R Coffeehouse is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for great coffee, food, and a lovely atmosphere. The coffee shop has received many positive reviews from customers who have praised the coffee, food, service, and atmosphere. However, some customers have complained about the coffee's chicory taste and the long wait times for their orders. Despite these minor issues, R Coffeehouse remains a popular spot for locals and visitors alike.

I truly love visiting this coffeeshop. Even if it's bustling with music and visitors, I find myself able to still isolate and read without distraction. I would say this is greatly due to the ambiance captured here -- great live performances, lovely art, warm coffee aromas, and a diverse crowd usually. Safe place for everyone!

One of my favorite places in Wichita. I have so many memories here. They have the coolest live performances on the regular, the best staff ever, and they serve up some of the best breakfast dishes.
It's a short walk to The Keeper of the Plains and a shorter walk to the park from here. I spent entire days wandering around the area while sipping some hot tea from R.
Seriously a great place. 5/5. 10/10. Two thumbs up.

One of the best parts about living in riverside is walking here in the morning for coffee. Love this place and have made friends in the neighborhood because of this place. 😸😸😸

Absolutely love the minimalist yet interesting drink and food menu. Particularly loved the mayan latte (asked for mine less sweet but with the usual amount of cayenne in it and it was yummy!). The only reservation (reason for less stars) I have is their unwillingness to have patrons wear masks appropriately during covid...

I had breakfast tacos that were so delicious! My friend had the breakfast sandwich - YUM. And another friend had the waffle. Not going to lie, that waffle SLAPPED! Love sitting outside in the morning. Workers wiped down tables as soon as people left. I'll definitely be back.

We tried this place today for the first time and it was delightful. We both had the chicken salad sandwich and it was yummy. The side salad was good also and generous enough to be a light meal on its own.

Might be the best breakfast sandwich in town.

One of the best coffee shops in Wichita!
The coffee is always fresh (and hot).
Has a great neighborhood feel. Sitting outside at one of the tables is a good spot to people-watch during the warm months.
Local musicians frequently fill any time of day (and night) with a variety of tunes. They even sell some merchandise in their shop related to the community, and often have local art on display.

You come here for the people, not the coffee. Every time I visit, the coffee shop is packed with customers, both inside and out, conversing and having a great time. The coffee is delicious. It's PT's coffee from Topeka which is another great coffee shop that roasts their own coffee beans. The music is also very enjoyable. Jazz is the primary music selection, although there are nights for indie music as well. Great people, great coffee!

I love it here. I always feel at home. I love seeing the owners with their family. I am so happy to support this business on the prettiest corner in the city.
