R Coffeehouse
Review of R Coffeehouse
R Coffeehouse: a quaint family-owned coffee shop that offers homemade meals, specialty drinks, local art, and live music. This coffee shop is located at 1144 Bitting St, Wichita, KS 67203, nestled in a neighborhood of small entrepreneurs type businesses in old buildings that may have been homes. The shop is open from Monday to Sunday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The atmosphere of R Coffeehouse is enchanting, with an artistic vibe that adds an extra layer of magic. The outdoor seating is a wonderful touch, allowing you to enjoy the great weather while sipping on their delicious coffee and indulging in their delectable food. The menu offers a great variety of options, and everything is superb. The coffee is rich and flavorful, and the food is absolutely delicious. The pancakes are life-altering, and the breakfast sandwiches are some of the best in town.
The staff at R Coffeehouse is welcoming, friendly, and provides excellent service. The coffeehouse also offers a great selection of non-dairy options for those with dietary restrictions. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous.
R Coffeehouse is not just a coffee shop; it is also an art gallery, an internet cafe, and a live music venue. The shop features local art, and the walls are adorned with beautiful paintings and photographs. The live music performances are a great addition to the atmosphere, and the shop is known for hosting talented musicians regularly.
Overall, R Coffeehouse is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for great coffee, food, and a lovely atmosphere. The coffee shop has received many positive reviews from customers who have praised the coffee, food, service, and atmosphere. However, some customers have complained about the coffee's chicory taste and the long wait times for their orders. Despite these minor issues, R Coffeehouse remains a popular spot for locals and visitors alike.

Pricey but what isnt these days. Service is pleasant and atmosphere is casual and a place where you can relax and be social or enjoy a private conversation if you like. With that said i ordered quiche which was $12.00 for one slice then they took the salad off to make it $9.00 but with tip it was $11.00. They gave me a dinner sized box which felt empty. I checked and it was a piece of quiche that looked like they cut 14 pieces out of a 9" pie (barely one egg in that serving). It wasalmost an inch and a half deep . i was so disappointed i gave it to a strangers dog outside of the restaraunt. This happened with a piece of carrot cake and peanut butter pie a couple of days before. They should have takeout and dine in prices on the menu because i believe all i was paying for was the atmosphere.

Looks recently remodeled. Love their coffee. Didn't try any food but it all sounded good. Looks like they served breakfast and sandwiches besides coffee

The Girl working there today had a fantastic attitude and smile even though we stepped in right before close. We never would have known if we hadn't asked. She was super pleasant and deserves a big thumbs up.

R Coffeehouse is delightfully well within Riverside residential walking distance, offering an excellent rotation of live musicians to enjoy with delicious foods, drinks & engaging capable staff, whether you're dine-in, dine &/or coffees, & fresh fruit drinks outside on the wrap-around public bistro seating-a-plenty; or takeout ~ lends credence to the excellent array of casually marvelous finer food & drink - mom & pop establishments all throughout this historic neighborhood offering riverviews, heavily &/or well groomed wooded bike paths, pedestrian presence is friendly & profuse. Come visit R Coffeehouse, try frisbee courses, electric bikes rentals & so much more all in the midst of 5+parks, museum, Indian Center & the fork of the Big & Little Arkansas Rivers @ the magnificent Keeper of the Plains (just for starters).

Fun atmosphere, nice acoustic music playing on this cozy Sunday morning. The staff is attentive and friendly. We had the biscuits and gravy along with the breakfast tacos. Both were really good. I would pick the tacos over the biscuit and gravy. The Mayan was my drink of choice. After reading reviews about the Mayan and the Funky Monkey I didn't know which one to pick. The staff suggested the Mayan if I liked a little spice. Excellent choice it was, a little spice but not to much. We will definitely come back.

I really love this Cafe. One of my favorite pastimes is to visit a cafe and just drink in the ambiance, and R Cafe is such a fun experience. I live in the neighborhood, so I have the privilege of being in-between like 4 different cafes, and even though I do love Leslie’s and Milkfloat, any time I’m bored or parched or would like to meet with friends, etc. R café is the place I choose. There’s a home-type vibe when you walk in, whether it be from the fact that the cafe is built into an old house or the staff’s personality. The food is phenomenal, the drinks are delicious (I love their rose lemonade) and the art is always changing and supportive to local artists. I strongly recommend checking this place out for an afternoon, and my oooooonly complaint is that they aren’t open longer :)

Great food. Good spot. The only issue I have is it is pretty expensive for what you get. Lunch for 15 is becoming the norm tho. Can’t complain too much. The club sandwich was delicious and perfectly cooked. I will be going back for sure.
