Juli's Coffee and Bistro

I have been coming here for well over 3 years. I love their coffee and the vibe is always pleasant. However, within the last 2 months, I have seen a huge change in their staff and their attitude. I tip and I tip well, especially during this whole pandemic. I myself work in the service industry so I understand how people at times can be difficult. But me being a normal, nice customer that supports local businesses here in Topeka, I am sad that they never say Thank you, they never smile, they barely say hello... nothing. I miss seeing Chevelle who was my favorite; she was always rad and cheerful. This review wouldn't exist if this was an "off day" one time situation. I don't write a bad review for a one-time issue since I am understanding to how the service industry is. But this is weekly. I come here at least 3 times a week for my coffee and I always call in my order to give them a heads up. Every time I call, the lady who answers sounds miserable. I just hope that they appreciate those that continue to support them but for now, I will probably try a new place.

Oh my goodness!!! Hardly have words!! Food is wonderful!!! Thank you, thank you so much for making our Friends And Family gathering on June 27, 2020 so great!!! You made it so easy for us “out of towners”!!! The BEST!! Thank you again, just so your locals know, there were other restaurants/catering that were not even trying to accommodate and being 800 miles away, your staff made it so easy and y’all are just the best!!! If you live in or around Topeka, Kansas, do yourself a great favor and eat at Juli’s!! Choose them for catering!!!

3 visits. First time no one was even around although open. Even hollering out no one came. Second visit. My latte was 3/4 full done by younger male but older gentleman was intelligent and conversation was great. Third visit. Same as second time. 3/4 full and half or more was foam. I prefer much less foam to my latte. The place by Washburn University was better. So, I guess i will have to drive farther the next time I want a latte. I'm picking 3 stars because I'm not sure what amount to give. The taste was fine. It's just when paying that much for a latte I'd like my cup to be full. So, it's OK just not wanting to return any time soon.

I always enjoy Juli's. Great place for coffee, pastries, and lunch food. I especially love the unique space in an old downtown building. This is the perfect place to grab lunch with coworkers and colleagues. If you need more space and quiet, there is lots more space in the back. The menu options are unique and the offerings change frequently to keep things interesting. Definitely recommend this place if you're in or even near downtown Topeka.

I have never been before in a “coffee shop and bistro” where you cannot get a bagel, an English muffin or even a piece of dry toast at 10:45 in the morning. That is when we were told that they stop preparing breakfast items at 10:45 and were handed the lunch menu. Who eats pulled pork panini at 10:45 in the morning? We protested to no avail. Attractive space, however.

Everything I've ever ordered at Juli's has been fantastic! They serve wonderful coffee and uncommonly delicious food. The shop is located in a historic building with lovely floors and lots of good natural light, and the staff go above and beyond to offer memorable service. They offer a loyalty card, too, for freebies after a number of purchases. Highly recommended!

The owner and staff are absolutely wonderful. The food is most excellent. I love the special touch that Delena puts on the coffee and food she prepares. I recommend this place for a nice breakfast or lunch. Let's continue to support Local Businesses in Downtown Topeka.

Just went there today with my cousin. Absolutely loved the chicken salad wrap I got; but they barely put any cream cheese on my cousin's sandwich, which was the reason she ordered it. When she went up to ask if they had put any on it they were uninviting and shrugged it off like it wasn't a big deal that she wasn't content. She came back very upset so I went up and bought a little 2oz. container for $2!!! However good the food was, the customer service had something to be desired. I hate leaving this low of a rating anywhere because I know it can have in effect on your business, but I think everyone concerned needs to realize the importance of making ALL your customers feel welcome or else you WILL loose money. On that note - best of luck and in the future I hope that I can change my idea and review on your coffee shop. Thank you.

Had the roast beef panini, it was pretty good. Iced coffee was very good. Sides were very average. I'd go back but it is very average coffee shop food.

I fell in love with the atmosphere and decor the first time I walked in the door. Their breakfast bowels are amazing. And no matter what I order, my coffee is spot on.
The staff there are always friendly and appear to be happy to have me.
