New owners have really stepped up thoughtful seasonal menus and the service is great. My current favorite is the Scorpio, a blackberry tarragon latte.

I really like it here, usually come here to get some office/studying done. But today, the 30-something with a beard and slightly balding accused me of stealing the receipt from the receipt printer.....which is weird, because why would anyone do that. When I said, nope I didn't grab the receipt, he asked me about it two more times, even said 'but i heard the sound of paper ripping', and then rolled his eyes as though he didn't believe me. I'm stumped.

And now I went up to get a coffee refill (the other times I've been here, each 'for here' mug gets one free refill). He refused a free refill and made me pay for another cup. When I asked whether this was a new policy, he just said "cash or card" I'm happy to pay for the coffee, I just don't like being treated like a suspicious person for no reason.

We had higher expectations for an “artisan” coffee shop. The service was one of the worst we’ve ever had. We waited in line for 20 mins to order. They were out of several things their menu said they had. There is no cream or sugar out for customers to use themselves. My drip coffee sat on the counter waiting for cream to be poured in while the female barista chatted with some friends. They had to ask how many breakfast sandwiches we ordered when we paid for two. The Americano my husband got was thin and pretty tasteless. They were out of something and when they asked if a substitute was okay, they got the type of breakfast sandwich wrong and we had to correct them. And to top it all off, the egg patties on our breakfast sandwiches were cold in the middle. It wasn’t even that busy, and running a coffee shop is not a new business concept. It’s really not this hard. We were very disappointed and will not be coming back.

other than the creepy workers redundant continual staring at my wife’s figure… was a nice aesthetic coffee shop with a friendly cashier. coffee was pretty mediocre.

It's a great coffee shop and I've been going for the past 6 years. 6 months ago I would have given 5 stars.
That being said the reason for the 2 stars is over the past 6 months, the consistency of the coffee quality has been terrible. A solid 6 out of 10 times the coffee is sub par, not just not great, like bad. Milk is burnt, half my latte is foam, it's full syrup on my last sips.
I'm guessing this is due to the high turn over rate of the baristas and perhaps newer baristas working independently without any guidance of more experienced baristas.
I used to love this place and the coffee and I'm bummed.

I come here almost every week. Delicious coffee options, good food... I love the breakfast quesadilla! The punch card is super nice too! Getting that free coffee is sure nice. The baristas are all wonderful as well, and having a space for artists to display and sell their work gives you something new to look at and appreciate every month.

For the past 3 years this has been my go to place for coffee, small informal meetings, and friend get togethers. Once you walk in you can see why so many people are drawn to this eclectic and unique coffee shop and cafe. Every drink is made with care and the staff has always gone above and beyond. Also, the local art that is for sale on the wall is a great touch! So this place is a must go in the Drake area!

the coffee tastes like burnt soy beans, it's bad.
now the mocha is just fine, but that coffee itself is terrible.

The coffee and food are both excellent. Lots of great places to sit. Staff is very upbeat and fun to interact with. Generally good for studying or conversation, but the music was very loud. That's pretty much my only complaint.
