Really good food and great service! Happy to see this place open again!

We went here last night for my birthday. The food was fantastic! I got the megamac with ham and it was actual cut up ham! I think I was expecting plain old boring cubes ham. (And it was still good when I ate my leftovers earlier) our server was so nice and joked with us and dealt with our obnoxiousness! I think her name was Kate? Anyway. All around awesome environment for my birthday dinner! Thanks so much’

The waitstaff was super nice and attentive and the inside was super divey and cool! You can tell they really take care of the space. Also, go in for a milkshake and check out their 1939 Cadillac! Super cool addition!

I was introduced to this place by members of our local EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) chapter. Recently I was able to visit again, and again, was warmly greeted immediately upon entering. This place reminds me of how all diners/cafes/restaurants SHOULD be. Great service, good food, and extremely friendly staff as well as other patrons. I wish I lived closer! Keep it up Niland's Cafe!

Great service and one of the best burgers we've ever had.

This place is the best place I have been to in many years. There meats are fresh beef not processed. So if you ever just driving through Iowa on rt 65 an 30 this place rocks.

Father’s Day buffet, used salad plates as dinner plates . Nobody to lid off warming pans . You had to stand there and hold . Food was not hot at all . I’m sure if an inspector went in it would not pass . The bacon wimpy , some not done, biscuits where dry , sausage was pail, not sure if it was done or not . Carrot cake was just plain awful . This cost was $15.00 . The one thing that was great was the waitress was fantastic. She always is when we go in . This is about the 6 th time we have gone in since they reopened. Was trying to see if it would get any better, but no chance of that . Hope it in proves. We have tried to give them feed back , but they are very defensive about it .

Historic, adorable old diner. Fantastic food that is very reasonably priced and pies to die for. Mini museum in the sitting area about the history of the place. Incredibly nice staff. Outside of it there is a walk around history tour.

Great service and food. The atmosphere and historical connections are amazing. We never would have found this place without a little help from Google Maps and the reviews shared by others. We will be back!

Excellent, no frills Sunday brunch buffet. It's worth the beautiful Sunday drive along old highway 30. We also had strawberry pie (warm) a la mode!
