Mashed potato were instant and bland.
Beef burger had no flavor and greasy

Cute, small, historic example of an old Lincoln Highway ( Hwy 30) roadside diner, complete with a restored 1930s gas station and a small, still operating motel. The decades old history of the business and this historic road is given in pictures and artifacts. We stopped on a Tuesday at about 1:30 pm and were quickly greeted by the friendly, lone waitress. My wife had the day's special, spaghetti with meat sauce and a small salad for about $6.00, and I had a Reuben sandwich and fries-- also $6.00. The food arrived quickly, and was hot and tasty.
The history and memorabilia alone are worth stopping for, but the good food, good service, and reasonable prices make this a 'must' if you are traveling in this area.

We have stayed and been very happy. We just came thru and stopped for a blueberry cheesecake pie to take home. All that can be said is WOW it was the best that we have ever had we will be calling to see if they will dry ice and send it to us in Mi.

We used to stop there in the 60's and 70's after hauling grain to the elevator nearby. So glad that it reopened. Food and service is still great and it still has that great small town diner atmosphere that is typical in America's Heartland.

Food is okay. But it seems specials are gone an hour after they open. And seem to be out of just about half the menu when I’m in there.

Home cooked food, great service, terrific atmosphere. Highly recommend. Save room for pie.
