Caribou Coffee

This Caribou is my favorite! I discovered my favorite drink here and I'm always in and out quickly. If I want to sit somewhere, the atmosphere here is great! The girls that work here are friendly and helpful!

I hate to complain, but it was slow when I came here and it still took something like 10-15 minutes to get a sandwich. One person catered to the drive-thru on a headset while I waited at the counter for what seemed like forever. When the other person finally took my order, I asked for a breakfast sandwich and water. The family with kids behind me got their coffees and sweet drinks before I ever got a cup of water, and then I was informed that my sandwich was on the way--except it wasn't because nobody put it in and they didn't have any. Nor was the next one I tried ordering available. I finally settled on something, and it took approximately 1 minute after they put it in. The whole thing was odd. I've worked in restaurants before, and it's not difficult to fill a water and (I imagine) put a prepackaged sandwich in an oven and hit the go button... especially when it's not busy.

I'm a Caribou fan, but stuff like this seems to happen a lot lately.

Use to be very good, but has recently declined. I always get an iced vanilla latte and they have forgotten the vanilla (which you pay extra for) multiple times. I went through the the drive thru, asked for a vanilla latte, they forgot the vanilla went through the drive thru again, asked nicely for them to add vanilla, and they were pretty snotty about it. I PAY EXTRA FOR THE VANILLA GIVE ME THE VANILLA!

I assume it's new management, because it use to be my favorite Caribou in the area and now it's very hit or miss.

Let me start by saying I typically love Caribou Coffee. This Caribou Coffee however was awful, I stopped on the way home to Minnesota and just asked for a very simple drink, a small iced Americano, with a half shot of caramel. I unfortunately got it in the Drive-Thru so I couldn't go back in to get a new one but it had so much ice in it that I could not even get a straw into the cup which forced me to take the lid off and pull ice out while I drove making a gigantic mess in my car. But that's not even the worst part, the espresso tasted completely burnt and the caramel tasted like Starbucks caramel syrup / chemicals, not the normal Caribou Coffee actual caramel. I could only take three sips and threw the rest away ,my God it was awful

Very disappointed with this location. I was just passing through and needed a late evening caffeine boost. I pulled up to the window to order and the lady (with pink hair and nose ring)) looked at me and rudely asked what she could help me with. I said, "I would like to order a..." and she cut me off and told me I had to go around and order through the voice box. There was not a car behind me or in front of me. Yes, I did not order properly due to not being familiar with the drive thru lane. However, she could have helped me. Either way, I started to drive around and she literally rolled her eyes. No joke, I left immediately and went to Starbucks down the road. I suggest you do the same!

Love Caribou Coffee! Their Caramel Hi-Rise is so delicious, I get one just about everyday. Service is usually pretty quick & staff is friendly.

Coffee is great but there have been multiple instances where I have had to wait 10-15 min for a latte. If there were a lot of people in front of me I would be more understanding, but it is difficult to understand the wait with only 2-3 people waiting for single coffees.

I love the four big leather chairs in front of the fireplace near the front door of Ankeny store. It is fairly new store so furniture is still nice. I go there a couple of times a week. A mug of light roast is $1.69 which is cheaper than most places in Ankeny and refills are free. The light roast is mild and the dark roast has the stronger bean flavor. I drink either flavor depending on how I feel that day. I always go inside so I don't know about drive up service. The staff is friendly and fast for inside service.

So awesome! The service was excellent and the coffe fresh. We needed a pick me up while on a long drive, this was perfect.

Staff are very friendly and courteous. Coffee is subpar but still good. Wait times for drive through are a bit extensive but usually only during busy times.
