I am a huge fan of Caribou in general, but this location is disappointing. The staff isn't very friendly and I generally don't enjoy interacting with them. It's disappointing because I really do love their coffee!

I'm reviewing a specific experience as I have recently experienced a steep decline in the service. The person behind the counter was rude and inattentive. I waited for any sort of engagement for a minute before finally being greeted. All of the coffee choices were not correctly displayed. She was also rude when I expressed disinterest in what they were currently offering.

Some of the best coffee you can have. Black or lattes. Phenomenal. My favorite is the morning blend and for lattes you can't go wrong. Starbucks is really garbage in comparison. I wish there were Caribou back home, I would be there all the time.

I went to this caribou and the girl over the intercom at the drive through first off all did not listen to what I was ordering at all and just assumed what I was ordering and agreed even though I had not ordered yet and only asked a question which she never answered, after I ordered my food she assumed I was done and didn’t even wait for others in the car to order , never gave me a total, and then when we got our food and drinks we got the wrong drinks and completely wrong food and didn’t notice until we got home so now we are stuck with it and don’t even like what we got. I love caribou and it totally a could of been an off morning, but slow down and think before you do something. I’m not one to complain but when I’m spending my money and get the complete wrong thing and don’t like it and am unable to get back to get the right thing, it’s a problem.

My Wife LOVES Caribu Coffee! She likes that she can get a Mint Coffee year-round. Only thing is that where we live there aren't many Caribu locations.

I have stopped here multiple times and every time my experience has been horrible, which is upsetting because I love caribou and work for caribou myself.
1. The first time I went I ordered an iced drink. I went inside and there was no one else in the store. I waited 10-15 to get my drink and when I got it the drink was still warm and there was no ice in it.
Today I went in and ordered a mocha half dark half milk chocolate and a large classic black iced tea. Simple. I was the first one in line and it took her 5 minutes to get my drinks rang up. When I got my mocha it was only half dark chocolate, there was no milk chocolate and not the full amount of chocolate, and I then had to ask for my iced tea. They then realized they were out of the kind of tea I want (I don't understand how you can be out of iced tea at 7 am your night people are supposed to make sure you have the drinks for morning rush) I also believe you should know when you're out of something so you can tell your customers before they order it!
They are always under staffed especially for the morning rush. If you're in a hurry I wouldn't stop here especially if you want your correct drinks.

This is the BEST caribou coffee house in the Des Moines area! The place is clean, including the bathrooms. The employees are the best baristas. They make my coffee correctly and hot every time, unlike Starbucks warm coffee.

I left the house wanting hot tea. So because it's convenient, I decided to stop through the Caribou drive-thru. I ordered a large green tea. It was so disgusting I couldn't even drink it. I opened the lid there's two humongous tea bags in my cup. It was so gross. So strong I could not drink it and the flavor was terrible
So I called and talked to a manager, explained we're on our way to Iowa City and that I would stop on my way back and I would like a replacement cup of a different type of tea. She said no problem she'll write it down and to come back in this afternoon. So I come back in this afternoon and the girl comes to the window and says, "Well my manager doesn't doesn't remember speaking to you but I can go ahead and give you a free cup of tea." Insinuating I was making the whole thing up. I even looked at my phone to double check the time that I called and spoke to the manager. This time I decided to try just a plain chai hot tea. Instead I got a chai latte, I never ordered a chai latte. So twice I got something I didn't like or want and the customer service was once again horrible at Caribou Coffee in Ankeny.

I received a gift card for Caribou Coffee for the holidays. I visited the location in Mills Civic yesterday and today the location in Ankeny. Both locations got my order wrong, and both times I let the workers know with not much effort to change. First one was the worst Sunrise I've ever had, and the second I was told the difference was caramel. I'm not usually one to complain, but it appears that the chain may be going down hill?
