Food is decent but pricey. I expected the dishes would be well-crafted and seasoned with moderate level, the pork tenderloin was too salty. Three of us finished every drop of two bottle of water. Burger is good, juicy, and less sauce-y making the meat flavor stranded out. Cod, as waitress introduced as freshly caught as it can, felt a bit of tension between the meat fibers. I am not sure it was due to the fact of the freshness or the cooking method. But I really enjoyed the taste of the sauce in the cod dish and fried bacon.
It’s awkward that my friend and I had to ask the front desk for pens to sign the bills.

Delicious and unique menu. New twist in great breakfast items. The wait time was inordinate, the time we were seated was more than an hour. Maybe because it is so popular. I'd visit again, it's very delicious. Nice atmosphere.

Honestly one of the best new places in Ames to go. Owned by the owners of The Cafe which is also excellent. A bit pricey but my gosh those chefs know what they doin! Totally worth it! Not to mention the beautifully designed interior. The lighting here is elegant. Also their desserts really do taste as good as they look

I ordered the pork belly sandwich, it was original, well prepared, and very fresh (from the bread to the toppings) the salad was good but the sandwich was amazing! Server was helpful and friendly. Even the tea was good.

Came for brunch on a Saturday. Beautiful ambience and friendly wait staff. Tasted a bit of everyone's food and everything was cooked to perfection! "Definitely the best chicken I've ever had". "Old bay potatoes were bomb!". I will be coming back when I'm in Ames again. Compliments to the chef Jake!

Pat a cake, pat a cake, bakers man. Bake me as many cakes as you can
@collinsafly stopped by his all time favorite restaurant in Ames, @provisionsames ! He spent so much time working there that he goes back just to hang out with his friends and try new items on their menu. Pictured:
1 & 2. Cakes: cannoli, chamboard cheesecake, tuxedo cakes, chocolate toffee bread pudding
3. Korean noodle bowl with chicken
4. Guacamole plate

Provisions is definitely one of my favorite restaurants! Not only is the food amazing, but the desserts are out of this world! I especially love the provisions burger and crispy potatoes! I have loved every single dessert I have tried, but have got to let everyone know how delicious the tuxedo cake and chocolate flourless cake are! Not only is everything delicious, but the presentation and detail is truly beautiful. The atmosphere is nice and the employees are so nice and friendly. Thank you all so much for providing such wonderful dishes, truly one of a kind!

This honestly is my favorite place in Ames to take my people out for dinner or lunch or breakfast. All of what they have is amazing. This location has an amazing vibe the moment you walk in. From the Cafe(on the right when you walk-in) to the bar in the back, to the main restaurant seating(off on the left)and even outdoor seating.
I have only been impressed every time I come! Keep up the good work all of you! Thanks for making delicious food and appreciate all of you who make it possible.
Thanks!!!!
Nick

When I eat out, I love to experience new things, and I am always able to do that here. The menu is always updating which is fun. There is always something new to try if you want to, and if you don't, they nail down the basic foods as well. Fun spot!
