Taste, atmosphere, price, and server friendliness. It was a restaurant not to be missed. However, green beans are served on the side of the steak, which didn't seem to go well with me. I thought it would be better if you put some salad on the side and make us eat it with meat. I also drank a glass of Pinot Noir red wine, and it smelled and tasted good. I plan to visit again soon to try other food.

Best restaurant in town! Chef is creative and never stop bringing new dishes every weekend, which makes me and my friends wanna go eat there nearly every week, love the seasonal ingredients and fusion ideas. The only thing which is not very great is sometimes food was produced too salty

We came here for my boyfriend's birthday a little over a week ago. His dish was good but I am still day-dreaming about the pasta dish that I got. The flavor profile was complex and complimentary. I honestly can't wait to drive through Ames again so I can eat here once more. I would die a happy person if I could have that broccoli rabe pasta again. Our server (who was extremely pleasant) suggested squeezing a bit of lemon over the pasta and it honestly brought all of the flavors together and brightened up the dish immensely. Whatever she advises, listen! I'm sorry that I didn't get her name though.

The restaurant itself is beautiful and they have a breakfast/bakery/take-out counter on one side and dining area on the other. Both are aesthetically appealing. We were sat right away in a booth by the window. Desserts were just a bit too sweet for me but my boyfriend liked it and it was his birthday so that's all that matters 🤷🏻‍♀️ I can't wait to go back and try something else!

We visited on 7/23/22. Close to ISU campus. Food was great. Good service. Has a full restaurant and a separate deli all in the same location. I got the Brussel sprout salad and added chicken, it was really good. Dessert selection was amazing, I highly recommend the key lime cheesecake. My friend got the peach crisp and it was really good too.

Tip: sit at the bar to avoid the wait for a table! The exit and road to the restaurant look like you're going nowhere special but once you open the doors, this is an absolute gem. It looks like it could be a restaurant in Chicago. Great space, lovely decor, good vibe, and the food was awesome. Any time we pass by Ames, we'll be stopping here!

This is one of Ames best places to eat. They do a really nice job here and it is tough to find places that do the little things well. I was really happy with my salmon sandwich and everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. Our service was prompt and polite. Overall I would recommend to locals and out of towners. Check the wait online as they can get full quickly.

Lovely place, nice style and the food is delicious! You can’t pick a wrong dessert at this place. What I love is that you have a view at the kitchen. Location is a bit outside of everything but that makes it special….I will be back soon

Delightful lunch experience. We started with a cup of sweet corn crab soup and the daily bread. My wife had the Broccoli Pasta and had the Fried Bologna Reuben. For dessert we shared a Tiramisu Cannoli. All very good and the service was excellent.

My friend group of 7 and I got to Provisions a few minutes before they officially "closed" at 8 PM, but figured we'd ask if they would serve us. The manager left me utterly shocked by stating that it would be no problem and that we would be more than welcome to come in!

Our dinner ended at 9 PM, and there was no mean-looks, hurried service, or anything out of the ordinary. Not only did they provide stellar service and food, but they went above and beyond and stayed open way later than they had to.

Definitely one of the best experiences I've ever had!

The food here was good but not great. I was not super impressed with the sandwich. There was a lot of bread and not a lot of beef for a sandwich that cost $18, it is hard to leave a great review. That being said the environment was great and the service was phenomenal.
