Davis Mercantile: A Unique Shopping and Dining Experience

Davis Mercantile is a one-stop-shop for all your shopping and dining needs. Located in Shipshewana, Indiana, this gift shop and cafe is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique experience. The building itself is a historic landmark and has been beautifully restored to its former glory.

The gift shop offers a wide variety of products, from clothing and shoes to toys and musical instruments. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The fabric selection is particularly impressive, making it a great destination for quilters. The three-story building is accessible via two elevators, making it easy for everyone to explore.

The carousel on the third floor is a highlight of the shopping experience. For just $2, you can ride the horses for five minutes and relive childhood memories. The atmosphere is clean and well-maintained, and the facility is spacious enough to accommodate large crowds.

The cafe on the third floor offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with delicious food and excellent service. The menu is somewhat limited, but the quality of the food is worth the price. The restaurant is a great place to relax and recharge after a long day of shopping.

In conclusion, Davis Mercantile is a unique shopping and dining experience that is not to be missed. Save your pennies because you will want to spend a LOT here.

The "mercantile" aspect is that it's a collection of stores and restaurants. There is a store that specializes in jigsaw puzzles, a fabric store, a cabinet store, and the broadest selection of candy at Aunt Millie's Candy Store! Would you eat Spicy Jalapeno Cotton Candy?

Aunt Millie has a Cafe next door to the candy store...yummo food.

Wear your walking shoes because you'll want to poke through every store!

You can spend hours on hours here. The stores range from furniture to household decor to games etc. Most of the stores are very boutique like.
A great pretzel shop with some other food items and a restaurant upstairs as well.

The Davis Mercantile is a very special place for me! This eclectic shopping center has been my family‘s place of business for 30 years and maybe even longer. My grandparents bought the Davis hotel and gutted it so that their kids could place their own businesses inside where the rooms used to be. The businesses that took root have become a a highlight of Shipshewana. Some of these shops include Millie’s Market Café, Aunt Millie’s Fresh Candy & Nuts, the Red Wagon toy store, JoJo’s Pretzels, Lollie’s Fabrics, Sarah Davis and Village Inn, Kitchen Cupboard Coffee Company, Head Over Heels recreation clothing, among many other amazing shops you can check out.

This isn’t just another shopping mall, this is a whole experience! The products sold here are things that you won’t find anywhere else, and they are all high-quality products. My family has been heavily involved in the Davis Mercantile, and we have worked very hard to make it an amazing place. I recommend it for locals and tourists!

Great place to shop for quality items. Quilt store is fantastic as are other stores. My daughter loves the merry go round on the top store.

Great family friendly place. I take my daughter up to their carousel and toy store on the top floor.

The toy store is pretty awesome and has things like wooden train sets (sets and individual tracks), Lincoln Logs, board games (a few versions of Catan even), and Melissa & Doug stuff. There's also a decent section of kids books that covers the grade school range (includes some easier chapter books).

I'd rate it higher, but most of the store is geared towards quilting, scrapbooking, and boutique clothes.
