Review of Davis Mercantile
Davis Mercantile: A Unique Shopping and Dining Experience
Davis Mercantile is a one-stop-shop for all your shopping and dining needs. Located in Shipshewana, Indiana, this gift shop and cafe is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique experience. The building itself is a historic landmark and has been beautifully restored to its former glory.
The gift shop offers a wide variety of products, from clothing and shoes to toys and musical instruments. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The fabric selection is particularly impressive, making it a great destination for quilters. The three-story building is accessible via two elevators, making it easy for everyone to explore.
The carousel on the third floor is a highlight of the shopping experience. For just $2, you can ride the horses for five minutes and relive childhood memories. The atmosphere is clean and well-maintained, and the facility is spacious enough to accommodate large crowds.
The cafe on the third floor offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with delicious food and excellent service. The menu is somewhat limited, but the quality of the food is worth the price. The restaurant is a great place to relax and recharge after a long day of shopping.
In conclusion, Davis Mercantile is a unique shopping and dining experience that is not to be missed. The variety of shops, the historic building, and the friendly staff make it a must-visit destination for anyone in the area. I love stopping here, especially around the holidays. There's a 1906 carousel on the top floor which is a must if you have kids. The pretzel place was delicious, and the music shop on the first floor is always a favorite stop. There's 4 floors of shops.

Very nice structured shopping center. Most of the shops are highly overpriced. Most of the candy in the candy shop are literally more than twice their regular retail price of anywhere else. Their necco wafer candy can be bought at the dollar store, but there they are$2.50. Just one example.

Wow - What a fun place to visit and go shopping. There are all kinds of different shops and the aromas from the pretzel place was soooo good (so we're the pretzels!) Right now the complex is decorated for Christmas - so beautiful!

Great place to visit and bring out of town guests who want a flavor of northern Indiana. The kids loved the carousel. The restaurant served wonderful food reasonably priced. Wonderful diverse shops- something for anyone. They even supply rocking chairs and convenient benches to wait while my wife browsed. Worth the visit.

Great Christmas gifts we picked up for a reasonable price.

The rugs I bought are flawed on one side. I shouldn't have bought them there. It's a neat place but it's a money pit. The gouge the shopper with their high prices.

One of my favorite shopping places in the world! JoJo's Pretzels is a must and the candy shop has something for everyone. Also, don't forget to stop at the carousel!

The building is amazing with beautiful woodwork! The carousel is amazing, and the history behind it is very neat to learn about. The shops give a warm friendly feeling. The restrooms are also some of the cleanest. We were there on a Monday morning and early afternoon, the crowds were small and no bumping into one another. Can get busy on flea market days and weekends. But still a most stop for everyone.
