Riverside Cafe

We enjoyed our meals and our server(wish I could remember her name) was fabulous. A small mistake was made on our order and she had it sorted right away. We will be back next time in Muncie!

The lasgna soup wasn't quite as good as the waitress hyped it up to be,but it was completely edible. The food portions were enormous!And we expected a larger bill,but we were pleasantly surprised considering all the food we ate and had to carry home. I wouldn't be shy about going back.

My boyfriend and I usually have pretty good service but it's been a while since we've been there. Today we saw there were all new people. Our waitress was nice but didn't really check up on us like she should have. Didn't ask if we needed refills, condiments, or napkins. Fries were undercooked. The chicken breading was falling off everywhere. I had burnt hamburger in my spaghetti. We were probably in there 10-15 minutes before someone even asked what we wanted to drink. Also I didn't like how today only one side of the cafe was open and they were pretty busy. Everyone had to be crammed on the right side. I don't think that's a good idea with no mask policy and covid being as active as it is.

So...grab your own menu and seat yourself. It was busy,waitress was very attentive to our needs. Had the country fried steak. It was mouth watering delicious, nice and crispy on the outside, very warm cooked to a nice smooth texture. Not too chewy, just perfected seasoning as well. Lacking was the decoration an wide opened space we all ate in. Some private space would bring me in,to be more exclusive to the party I was enjoying. Felt like I was being stared down across the way. Diner was cold, felt, like no heat was on. Luckily I was wearing wool socks. Didn't stay long, it was unfortunately unbearable how cold the temperature was. Also unfortunate that a male host or manager in the middle of diner yelled me to settle my bill with my waitress,would give me no chance to speak,an yelled again over a table of customers....before realizing my waitress is working on my check. An no apology for the rude hollering in the middle the floor. Of course the waitress was apologetic which....I bought. The food was good but I wont be back for awhile...

Great place for lunch, everything is great, the service is fast and efficient.

Breakfast food is what I typically order and it is wonderful food at a great price. Fast, friendly service especially when one of the managers is on top of what you like and anticipates your needs. One of the managers named Brett Jones is very encouraging to the staff, always giving positive affirmations to the waitresses and kitchen staff. Definitely will return.

Inexpensive & really good homestyle food. Their onion rings are delicious. My daughter loves them and she doesn't care for onion rings.

Great food,friendly waitresses ,I really like eating there.i love getting breakfast there.

The Waitress did a good job. But the food was cold and had to send it bk to be heated up and the hot chocolate tasted like water .it was nasty.

Didn't really care for the food that much but the staff was very friendly.
