Waitresses are friendly and checks on your table frequently. Food is plentiful and delicious. Worth the money to dine. Very clean too.

My lady, I, and 2 of our children went to railroad cafe. Countey fried steak was not done. Gravy was room temp. Corn was bland and taste free. Mashed potatoes were 100% instant. They were out of american cheese and only had swiss. Service was ok I guess, if you only want one drink from appetizer to dessert. Dessert was great but they buy them and place em on a plate (brownies, cake, pie, etc.) We wont be back, 60 bucks to feed 2 adults and 2 kids.
Used to enjoy this place with small town dive feeling..... poor service and quality have offset the memories of what it used to be. We probably won't be back.

The tenderloin was giant, hand breaded and very meat. The decor was interesting, with several model trains, antiques and old railroad equipment.

The food was good, but not the best I've had. The taco salad I ordered was cold. The chips were cold and floppy, not crispy like they should be. The Conductor sandwich was a huge concoction of awesomeness, though. The service was HORRIBLE. The waitress brought us 2 things we didn't order and forgot 2 things we did order. The menus were very unprofessional. They have changed prices and stopped serving things. Instead of having new menu's made, they just took a sharpie to all the old ones.

This was the worst food I’ve had in a long time…

What a great family restaurant! We were camping at Spring Mill (visiting from Maryland) and decided to have lunch in Mitchell. This was the best food I've had in a long time, even better than pricey food in NYC. The tenderloin was the largest I've ever seen, and breaded just right. The service was great and the atmosphere perfect too. Totally five stars from us!

Definitely a neat place - great decorating. The food is awful. I had read the reviews and decided on Comfort Food. I ordered Pork Chop, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans and a roll. What a mistake! I pictured a Center Cut Pork Chop but got a cut that I would never buy-all fat and bones! The potatoes were edible with congealed gravy, the green beans were swimming in liquid from the can, and the roll was ripped out of a package and served cold. My friend ordered a pork tenderloin sandwich with fries. A much better pick than mine. It came with a small bun and a grisly tenderloin. The fries were good! My review: well, maybe a great place to get a Pepsi (no Coke products) and look at the decor!

Food was great, services were great.
We both had the tender loin plate.
It was so big we both only were able to eat half for lunch.
We had the left overs for dinner, then went back the next day for breakfast.
It was just as good!

Probably the worst meal we have ever had. Ordered the marinated grill pork chop special. It was the cheapest cut of chop. I expected a nice center cut. This so fatty we could not eat. The green beans were cooked to mush. And the room was cold that we needed our coats. Very poor, sad we had to pay for a meal that most would be ashamed to serve.
