Love this place! Great food and staff!!

My sister and I live together and we love to travel and find cafes and diners. This was our first visit to Railroad Cafe. What a wonderful place! The authentic decor was so interesting. The servers were friendly and spot on with service. We got tickled about something and the servers got in on it with us. The food did not disappoint either, it was delicious and plentiful and serviced hot. It was great experience. We will definitely return.

Very good food at great prices! Their burgers are wonderful! We ate here before doing an overnight paranormal investigation at Whispers Estate as it's literally right around the block.

Was camping in Spring Mill State Park. Heard about this place , decided to visit. So glad we did, my husband had the tenderloin , largest I ever seen. He said it was wonderful! I got country fried steak, very good! Stop in , you won't be disappointed.

We happened into this little gem purely by accident. It was the day after Christmas, and the place was pretty much empty. There were two gentlemen outside smoking who claimed this restaurant served the best burger around. The staff was so friendly and polite, it almost seemed as though we were dinning at a friends house. This was by far the cleanest restaurant I have been to in a very long time. I mean the place was spotless! Even the bathroom was clean, and it even smelled good. I ordered a double cheeseburger, and my wife got a fish sandwich. I think they used a whole cow on that burger! It was fantastic. The prices were just as much of a treat, as our total on the bill was less than $20. If you're in the neighborhood, Railroad Cafe is a "must" place to eat. Try to save some room for dessert. I didn't, but sure wish I had. They hade a large selection of beautiful pies and cakes that all looked delicious.

Awesome food and great service!

Don’t plan on visiting the railroad cafe within hours of close. They apparently close their grill down at least an hour before close and then the menu is very limited. You can’t say you are open until said time but then shut your grill down and wipe out 3/4 of the menu. Very disappointed as we drove from another town to visit this establishment. What a wasted trip!

Man this is exactly what a small town diner should be. Never been let down… Food and service are excellent and so are the prices.

We stopped in there yesterday, had lunch along with 5 of our grandchildren. We were immediately seated, immediately waited on, and served quickly even though there was seven of us. The waitress was fabulous, polite and very accomadating. All enjoyed their food. We had two of the tenderloins and they were among some of the best that we have ever had, anywhere. If you are in.or near Mitchell, In stop in for a great meal.
