Ascend Coffee

Ascend Coffee in Castleton is a hidden gem that needs to be on your radar. As a former Californian, moving here I have tried a lot of coffee shops in Indianapolis, but Ascend Coffee easily makes my top three favorites list.

What really impressed me was the quality of the coffee and the expertise of the staff. Kaleb, one of the baristas, hooked me up with an expertly crafted coffee that hit all the right notes. But what really stood out to me was the friendly service. Faith, another barista, was also incredibly kind and made me feel right at home.

As a minority, I also appreciated feeling comfortable and welcome in the space.
If you're a coffee lover looking for a unique and exceptional experience, then Ascension Coffee is the spot for you. Trust me, you won't regret giving it a try!

My son and I visited Ascend twice last week, and we had a great experience. The owner, Caleb, was there on both occasions, and it was fun to hear about how and where he sources Ascend’s coffee (you’ll have to ask him yourself 😊). The baked goods 🥐 are all made in-house, and the chocolate chip cookie we had was tremendous! If you’re in and around the Castleton area, definitely go check out the newest coffee shop in town!

Think I'll be dreaming about this place for the rest of my days. It's so warm and welcoming - I had a hard time leaving! The staff were kind and the sort of people you want to be friends with. The drinks are made with care, and the pastries taste professionally made. Will definitely be coming back - probably every day!

This cafe is truly authentic and I'm so happy to have such a wonderful business open up right next to church. The workers are friendly, active, and provide a sense of community to the establishment. The cinnamon rolls are the best I have ever tasted. I'm usually not a fan of cinnamon rolls, but these are exquisite. I cannot say enough good things about Ascend, the owner, Caleb, and his wonderful staff!

Stopped by with my wife and we loved it! Our new favorite coffee shop in Indy. Atmosphere is welcoming and inviting, you'll feel at home with comfy seating options for those looking to linger and enough tables, chairs and outlets for those looking to get some work done. The staff are incredible and the owner, Caleb, is friendly and genuinely cares about you having a great experience. 10/10 on the hazelnut latte, and you have got to try any of the baked goods, especially the orange icing scones!

The Cold Brew was one of my favorite I have had. Also, the brown butter cookie was sinfully good. Will he back every time I come to Indy. It's a must visit for coffee lovers!

Best scone, best coffee, best company!! Ascend needs to franchise asap so I can be closer to the location, or maybe I will just move to indianapolis:) LOVE everything about this sweet place!!

Amazing coffee, peaceful environment, friendly people, melt-in-your-mouth baked goods (made from scratch, btw!). You will feel right at home here. It's our new favorite!!!
